Notes

I started out with a Liliana deck, working on the pain of discards, but it was not strong enough to last until it could do real damage. Instead I went with a different direction after adding some fight. Casting spells and drawing cards can hurt my opponent. Having creatures die can help me. Small creatures can wither away. Existence is not easy on my opponent. The curve is low enough that I am going to forego Sol Ring. Only 7 cards are above the 2-spot on the 18/15/1/4/2 curve, and it averages 1.93. The creatures are even cheaper, with a 14/11 curve, averaging 1.44. That leaves a 4/4/1/4/2 curve for non-creatures, but even at 2.73, they are aided by the 1-spot there, where I have Dark Ritual. It is even theoretically possible to play Curse of Death’s Hold on turn 1 (land and two Dark Rituals, plus the curse), effectively cutting my opponent’s creatures off at the knees.
