Notes

I created this deck after reading Abe Sargent's article on GatheringMagic.com, "Decks Inspired by a Word Chain Puzzle." It was a fun challenge. Highly recommended for those of you who like to build wacky decks.

The problems with this deck: Memory Crystal means absolutely nothing, the mana curve is not great, and the two Angels are in off colors.

Strategy: Attack early and often with Ball Lightning, Boggart Ram-Gang, and the Slumbering Dragon (after it wakes up). Use the Dragon Mask to bounce Ball Lightning back to your hand so you can re-use it. Equip it with the Mask of Memory when possible. Use Crystal Ball to keep unhelpful cards on the bottom of your deck and to help control when off-color mana comes up. Sac the Lightning Angels to play Fury of the Horde early. Win with Devil's Play.

I just love this.  Have never heard of "word-chain" decks, but I'll have to give it a try.  Thanks. : )

Enjoy! It's a crazy challenge. Best played with friends who love goofy games and out-of-the-box challenges. :)
