    Did you see "Izzet" Real?

I did. I like this approach a little better though. I'm not keen on Nivmagus Combo's though for this version. I want the pressure to be overwhelming, and Nivmagus Combo and Firedancer don't mesh well.

I did. I wanted to build something around Satyr Firedancer. I think this looks solid. I'd like your opinions though.

I see a few problems with this deck, unfortunately.

#1 is how firedancer is your essential all-in. While that isn't inherently bad, the rest of your cards I don't think will push you far enough to victory. If you don't get a guttersnipe, your spells won't be doing enough damage to usually kill your opponent with them. You'll be perpetually stuck in "almost there" I fear.

#1 pII: Worse yet, if they kill your firedancer, you're forced to "waste" cards directly as kills spells, or lose life while you still chuck them at the opponent. Your best blockers, chandra's pheonix and omen speaker, aren't very good blockers.

Fortunately, you seem to have noticed a little of this. Opportunity for card draw and whelming wave help for late game for sure. But I don't think it's enough.

#2: I don't think your blue is doing enough. 11 blue cards is enough to warrant using blue, yes, but... well. Again, I just don't think it's doing enough. Also at a cost to your land base.

Thoughts to consider: Having more than 1 win condition is generally a good thing.

Guttersnipe and satyr firedancer are effectively enchantments stabled on creatures - you don't want to use them in combat. Puppet strings, hands of binding, and chandra (and your ral zarek) allow your creatures to be used offensively for damage. And on that note, with a good card draw, nivmagus elemental can single-handedly win games.

My Izzet Real deck originally started out as an izzet satyr firedancer deck, but as I was building it I realized he just wasn't worth the infrastructure to do what I want.

But I still wanted to build one around him. So I built this :D

(In case you haven'n't already seen it) "Satyr" World on Fire

The basic idea with this deck is to use Satyr Firedancer to begin leaning really heavy pressure on my opponents life total while helping keep the board clear. I'm hoping to use the stacking nature of the Firedancer to keep down bigger threats. All stars with the Firedancer are Essence Backlash and Searing Blood. The small planeswalker suite helps with threat mitigation and deck longevity, and lets Chandra's Phoenix's winnow down an opponents life total, wich will be crucial against Supreme Verdict control decks. And Whelming Wave looks like a fun (for me) stall card if the board gets out of hand.

Oh, and before you check, there are only 6 creatures in Standard that Whelming Wave doesn't bounce. Read it as a 4 mana Sorcery version of Evcauation. And it really boiled down to Whelming Wave VS. Aetherize. Whelming Wave hits mana dorks, so that has some appeal to me. Trips up an opponent even more.
