The scarecrow deck is a little project I am mysteriously enamored with, probably because of the charm the came with the lorawyn block in its art style. So I did my best to find a way to work the creature type scarecrows and found it to work as a deck that destroys the opponents permanents. I am open to suggestions coming my way if someone can mention cards that do the job of the deck more fluently.

I'll talk about the key player in the deck, which is the infamous Reaper King he is the obvious lord of scarecrows with a very interesting mana cost that stands out before everything else on the card. It seems almost impossible to cast so I had to find a way to make him playable, I'll get into that later but I'll say that once he comes out he is a serious threat with his tribal buff and and triggered ability of endless removal.

But the king is only as powerful as the scarecrows that rally behind it so its important to figure out which scarecrows are good and which are useless, to be frank it depends on how you chose to play them scarecrows do have a synergy of messing with the colors of spells and permanents but that's not how I opted to play them. I instead went for the highest value creatures such as Painter's Servant which is a must in this deck. I included Heap Doll as well since it's one mana scarecrow with a funky ability, Scarecrone is an obvious must add since its last ability can be used to play Reaper King from the grave for 4 mana instead of 10. This is one of the ways to quickly play the king while avoiding his absurd mana cost. Another way to do this is to pull off an infinite mana combo that takes only 2 creatures, those 2 are Pili-Pala and Grand Architect but keep in mind it only works if the Pili-Pala is made to be a blue creature. Making him blue is never hard to achieve since the Grand Architect and Painter's Servant both do this for you. The final creature is Master Transmuter which is yet another way to cheat the Reaper King into play super early.

As for instant and sorceries I have Essence Flux which I use to activate the Reaper King s ability more often without needing to play a creature all the time. I also have Thirst for Knowledge that fills the role of draw while utilizing the discard effect that comes with it, preferably you discard the Reaper King to be cast from the graveyard with Scarecrone . Being an artifact deck I also put in Fabricate for obvious reasons that it gets what I want when things aren't playing the way I want them to. I needed some way to protect my Reaper King from removal so I put in Mizzium Skin since it seemed like the cheapest way to get the job done.

For lands I only included islands and Buried Ruin for return of artifacts if its needed. I think lands are the biggest point opportunity to change and expand in this deck since the deck is predominantly colorless with splashes of blue. So I think I'm looking for changes in the landbase above all but I'm still open to change the rest of the deck too.

Cant wait for the responses in regards to this deck. Cheers
