Amazing and very well appreciated update!  Just a note, one promo edition that is still missing is Gold-Bordered World Championship Cards.

My point is I don't have the time to treat this as a business, I have a normal well paying software dev job, and I'm a part of two start ups. Adding this as a small business would be a headache. Frankly if I could just sell cards like I do on ebay it would be much easier. Just one person selling to another person, not one person who needs to be an entity to sell to another person, it just annoys me.

No one is saying you can't do what you seem to want.

Lol, most of you seem to be viewing it the wrong way.  If the IRS audits you and discovers your mtg selling activity, you would WANT them to classify it as a business and not a hobby.  Getting audited and having it discovered are extremely remote possibilities for most people, which is why they tend to just ignore the issue.

Why is that?

So that they can see the loss and have it as a tax write off? Seems a bit dishonest to me? I'm not trying to really push it as a business, just trying to get cash to buy the singles I want or need.

Because, you would have to pay taxes on your profits each year either way, but if you had a year where you had a loss, you couldn't deduct it.  Additionally, you can deduct expenses that contribute to your ability to sell for a business, but not a hobby.  So if you bought a booster box for $100, traveled to a GP paying $20 for travel to sell the contents for $150, you would pay tax on $50 profit if hobby, $30 if business.

Looking for 1 Survival of the Fittest Judge Foil.  I'll value it at $180 NM, $120+ LP...I'll need scans if you want NM price.

Anything on my tradelist is up for grabs.

No it is not. Lastpass is notorious for false positives on Heartbleed.  Please do some research before trying to cause a scare.  I tested it with both Qualys Lab and filipp.io testers and it passed.

Since it has no symbol, it pretty much has to be a core set printing (4th edition or 5th edition). 4th was printed in 1995, 5th in 1997. So unless this is a foreign-language printing (which you would have probably mentioned), this sounds like someone may have taken a sharpie to the usual white border and made it black.

Agreed, it is sharpied if English, Italian (legends first printing), French, or German (Renassance was the first printing of Sylvan for these languages, and that has legends set symbol).

If it is Spanish or Portuguese, it is 4th edition fbb.

Maybe I'm missing something.  Is there some way to browse what is for sale in the marketplace?  I see the section on my frontpage where it lists when somebody puts a card on my wishlist up for sale, but this list only contains one card from my wishlist.  Are very few people selling? Or am i missing the way to search the marketplace?

I have a regular vigor and a Foil vigor in my collection, both marked as Near Mint.  If I try to change the foil one to lightly played and click Apply I get a message box in red along the top that says:
Error Applying Changes. Please Try Again.
It then deletes the foil Vigor from my collection.  I can add back a Near Mint one, but not a lightly played one without getting the same error.

The white bordered one is Chronicles.  Chronicles reprinted cards from Arabian Nights, Antiquities, Legends, and the Dark with their respective expansion symbols in white boarder.

I hope the deckbox team is reaching out to Crystal Commerce, the majority of moderate-sized sellers on tcgplayer have it as their backend.  If deckbox marketplace can integrate seamlessly with Crystal Commerce, you will immediately have a large %-age of the volume for sale on tcgplayer.  CC lets the sellers manage their inventory simultaneously through their own sites, ebay, amazon, and hopefully soon deckbox.

I too would recommend pursuing an alternative way to monetize deckbox that doesn't step on tcgplayer's toes and allows you to keep access to their data.  Deckbox does not have an adequate critical mass of sellers to generate consistent pricing and tcgplayer pricing a collection was a big draw to coming here.  It seems like adding premium paid features and commission based referrals may be a safer way to monetize.

That would be terribad.  People are already begging for a privacy option, this just screams like a mechanism for thieves to identify targets.

Can deckbox exist without the tcgplayer api?  I would be concerned that tcgplayer might cut off your access if they view it as too much competition.

There are a few options which change the fee structure, access to funds, and may affect others' willingness to send you money.

First, you need to set up a paypal account (it sounds like you already have one).  You need to provide some basic info to paypal here, name, address, etc.

Once you have a paypal account, you will be notified by email whenever someone sends you money...sometimes the emails are slow or get caught in spam filters, so you could always log in to your paypal account and check.  The money sits in your paypal account as "paypal funds" until you spend them or become verified.

You can link your bank account to paypal to make yourself "verified".  Here you are providing additional info to paypal including bank account details.  The benefits of being verified are 2-fold:
1) it allows you to take the money out of paypal, rather than letting it sit there until you are ready to buy something using paypal.
2) Many individuals will refuse to send you money if you are not verified (since you could be using totally fictitious info and running a scam).

The second set of options arises when making a payment arrangement.  There are basically 2 options:
1) Someone sends you money as a gift, if they pay with a credit card, the sender will pay a fee, there is no fee if they pay with funds in their paypal account or from their bank account.  Some people will be willing to send money as a gift, some won't as this leaves the sender little recourse if the receiver wants to scam them...they could pursue legal action or charge back their credit card, but could not get a refund directly through paypal.
2) Someone send you money for goods or services.  Then the receiver will pay a fee, and should send the product with delivery confirmation.  Paypal will mitigate any disputes between the sender and receiver.

The fees get smaller under 2) above if you sell a lot and are verified.

I'd be interested in:
2 Foil Arid Mesa
1 Foil Dis Hallowed Fountain
1 Foil Spellskite
1 Foil Batterskull

I can offer non-foil versions of all of these+paypal.  Message me to let me know how much you are looking for.  If you have a price for the whole deck (getting back whatever non-foils you need), you can let me know that too, but those are the main ones I'm interested in.

I have a Wall of Shadows from Antiquities, but it only lists Legends as a possibility.  Who do I talk to about making the addition so I can catalog this card?

That is a Chronicles Wall of Shadows....it (as all chronicles copies of wall of shadows do) has a misprint antiquities symbol rather than legends.

Sorry for that, they're updating now.

My collection value at tcg min just ballooned over 7.5%, which is highly abnormal for a collection this sized...is there a potential bug in what was just implemented, or is this the first real accurate read since foil prices have been implemented (I did notice a bump when foils where first implemented, but it was not as big as I had expected).
