They won't. That's part of the problem.

IIRC, MTGGoldfish.com gets it's information from TCGPlayer so that could cause some issues.
For me what would help far more than pricing data is the frequency of a card in the top8 ranked weekly decks. this directly relates to value and actually gives a sneak peak to values before they actually go up or down. Now if you really wanted to get into projections you would take into account cards that go out of standard a week or 2 before they go out. Think big!
The gop 8 frequency also helps me determine which cards I keep in my collection for later modern rotation more than price.
They are already working on this: here. In the meantime mtgtop8.com works just fine.
AdrianaLimaTime wrote:Probably already discussed, but why not let the sellers put a price on the cards that they are selling? Magictraders doesn't use tcg prices they just have the user name the price they want for the card. If the seller wants to use tcg prices, amazon prices, or their own price that's up to them. Although there won't be enough, but if selling cards do get big on this site, you could scrap the selling prices and make those the suggested trade prices.
Wait, what? I haven't used the selling feature yet, but does it not allow you to set your price? You're saying that we have to use the listed values (now retrieved from Amazon) for sales?
No, each seller sets their own prices. The plan was to use the data from sales here on DB to set the values for cards, but there just isn't enough data to do that yet.
I might be persuaded to trade this for a pile of foil (preferred) or regular shocks.
What about trying to go off of star city games web page? They would compare to TCG
That presents the same issue as with TCG. Deckbox is/will be a direct competitor for SCG so they would deny any access to their API in the same way that TCG did.
I love the idea. It's basically mtgtop8.com, which I have been using for a while.
For Chrome users: go get the app AutocardAnywhere. It links directly to the card page on TCG for quick price referencing.

I feel like your primary user base is traders not sellers (though I could be wrong). Maybe you should do some research or poll your active user base. I've sold stuff here occasionally, but I'd rather have TCG pricing integrated rather than a specific sales function.
I totally agree with buughost. If the problem stems from you adding a market/sales functionality, get rid of it! I, for one, only use Deckbox to catalog and trade cards. I would much rather have a reliable pricing structure than a silly sales function. I can sell my cards anywhere (LGS, eBay, Amazon, online card stores, etc). Deckbox is too valuable a website to me (and others) to see it become a casualty over an unnecessary function.
You missed the part where they said if they didn't add the market to monetize the site then they'd shut it down.
and the part where TCG wouldn't give them access to their API even if they took the Market functionality out.
If everybody stopped complaining and left sebi and the rest of the DB team alone they would have more time to fix the issues. They know what they need to do. Let them do it. In the meantime, go outside or something. Or go back to work...like me
Good luck to ya. I tried for a few weeks about 4 months ago trying to get mine. Ended up just getting em on ebay. =/
As the title says, I'm looking to sell my modern Scapeshift deck. It's a really fun and very consistent deck, I just don't have the time to play as much as I would like. It's the more combo version running Primetimes and Prismatic Omens rather than the lame control version running Cryptics and Snapcasters. No one likes playing against control and magic is supposed to be fun! Remember?! Anyhoo, the majority of the cards are NM, but I believe some of them might be lightly played. I can check tonight if anyone is interested. And before anyone asks, I will be posting this in the High End facebook group as well after I confirm all the conditions.
TGC mid value is 918. I'm asking $800, but might be willing to negotiate.
Not interested in trading this deck or splitting it up at this time.
Thanks for looking!
Do you still need temple of triumph?
Heh, I actually don't. I just got the Termin(i?), Temples, and Pyros. Now all I'm looking for is a Scroll Rack and a Dust Bowl. Thanks for looking though
Decided I don't need anymore promos. Now looking to clear up the rest of my wishlist.
Bump
Or you could drop all 6 spells and throw in Primal Surge

Grafdigger's Cage for Pod. Torpor Orb as TRZ suggested will almost completely shut down Twin. Another option there would be Combust. A couple Dismembers is probably fine for the occasional Arcbound Ravager, big zoo, or jund. I would personally run Mindbreak Trap ahead of Tormod's Crypt for storm since no one plays Living End in my area, but if you think people will be playing that then run Crypt to cover both of em. Hatebears should be a pretty good matchup for you. All the bad scapeshift players (aka not me ) run Cryptics and Snapcasters instead of pyroclasm so that should be an easy win.
@ReliquaryTower
There is an option to disable your seller account. Under Edit Profile there is a checkbox for "Vacation Mode." This will disable anyone from sending trades or buying cards from you. Obviously this also affects your trades while checked, but if you notice some of your prices are wrong you can check it long enough to set them correctly.
Knocked a few off the list. Keep em coming!
Wants:
1 Dust Bowl
1 Scroll Rack
Notable Haves:
Azusa, Lost but Seeking
Sculpting Steel - Foil MIR
Doubling Season
Apocalypse Hydra (foil and non-foil)
Sarkhan Vol (Shards)
and plenty of others that people would like.
Interesting concept. Currently Deckbox does not always update pricing as fast as TCG and some cards (foils mainly) sometimes show no prices whatsoever.
I for one would not want to be forced to sell X card for X price when the card spikes and TCG/DB pricing has not adjusted to represent said new price.
USea is 249.49 on DB and 251.97 on TCG, this is a miniscule amount but used to illustrate a point.
Tropical Island is 119.34 on DB and TCG has it at 125.97
Bitterblossom DCI is 99.99 but DB has it for the same price as a regular BB....55 bucks or so.
Until things like this are fixed, it would appear this is a dangerous endeavor to engage in
You set the prices for your cards. The prices that tcg shows (min, mid, max) have nothing to do with the price at which your cards get set. You can use the prices on tcg as a guideline and I highly recommend you do so. Also, your point about promo BB having the wrong price is being addressed by Sebi and the DB team. The addition of pricing for promo and other non-set cards is on their to-do list.
To the point of the topic: Thank you so much to Sebi and everyone else that went into the production of this great release! Now I just have to manage my selling inventory on tcg as well as here.
I'm very sure scg doesn't update their prices while they're out of stock. Explains why Wasteland is still listed at $100.
Before this gets out of hand, if you don't like the price then ignore the post.
