I'd unload that Snapcaster Mage from your inventory as people will give their first born child for one
That made me laugh. But yeah it's true.

I've designed a deck based around global damage effects like Pyroclasm and Slagstorm.
http://deckbox.org/sets/225523
The idea is focused around effects like Repercussion.
It uses monsters that are safe from the global damage either due to Protection from Red or damage prevention.
Let me know what you guys think or if you have any suggestions to make it better.
Yeah the Statistics page on the deckbox deck builder can help with testing, but if you have to shuffle the deck or want to test past the number of cards it shows (which I often do), then I think the virtual deck simulators at tappedout.com and mtgdeckbuilder.net are more handy.
Which is why I suggested before to adding a CAPTCHA in the registration form.
I guess I can see UR Delver considering the support that UR is getting in the next set, but RUG? I'm not really sure what to make of that...
It depends. If you're looking to build a specific deck, buying booster packs will take you ages to get the cards you need unless you have experienced friends who can trade them to you. If that is so, then perhaps you should buy booster packs.
I haven't until I came here, so I mostly bought singles since I would build my deck in places like this or http://www.mtgdeckbuilder.net and test them until they looked solid enough. Then I would only buy the cards I need. So I knew what I needed and didn't have many people to trade with.
On the other hand, if you're not looking to build a specific deck, then definitely buy booster packs as that will give you a wide variety of options.
Since you're starting out, here are a few general tips:
- Stick to 60 cards unless you feel that you have to go over no matter what.
- Try to stay clear of effectless creatures that don't have a higher power and toughness for the mana cost. For example, Zombie Goliath is a 4/3 for 5 mana. Cards like that would only really be effective against other players with few cards like yourself (as it seems).
- It may take a while to get this far if you're on a budget (so don't rush yourself), but search for cards that up your advantage by either making your opponent lose cards or gaining you more cards (for as little mana as possible, the less you have to pay the better the card). One of my personal favorite combos is the Phyrexian Obliterator + Ulvenwald Tracker combo. Like I said though, take your time on this one. There are plenty of cheaper cards than the ones I just mentioned that up your advantage.
- I like to keep the average mana cost of my deck to less than 4 unless I have more unusual means of playing many expensive cards. Reanimator is an example of a strategy that plays more high cost cards because it uses low cost cards to pitch them into the graveyard, and then bring them back to the field. Cards like Faithless Looting, Careful Study and Buried Alive are good examples of the first type. Exhume, Unburial Rites (since it can has flashback ), and Goryo's Vengeance (although risky, a turn 2 Emrakul, the Aeons Torn is just scary).
- Don't be afraid to look up other people's successful decks to get some ideas. You will learn a lot from other peoples' success about what works and what doesn't. But be creative and original in your approach. It's more fun that way.
Is it possible to see the listed condition of cards in others' tradelists? Not every card I ever bought was a NM condition card. Sometimes I buy lightly played or moderately played condition cards in order to save some money. I guess I would just like to make it easier to let others know what condition my cards are in without having to check every time somebody posts a trade.
The second and last options seem like the best in my opinion. The first option just seems like it would be more of an annoyance than anything to spammers. All they have to do is correct the issue and add a seemingly legitimate inventory, before continuing their mayhem.
Really? Its a couple of images I posted to Flikr and I see them just fine.
Basically I made a couple forum signatures in Photoshop... and decided to use them in each forum I join.
I like HikingStick's solutions. They sound pretty effective against this type of spam. Also using CAPTCHA and email verification on registration will prevent auto registrations.
Haha I like that combo as I play defensively in monowhite. (My only one being an old Life Gain deck)
Rather than Pacificism I prefer Bonds of Faith, because you get additional benefit for your creatures.
I also do agree with imsully2 in that you should run more than one color.
Splash green and get:
Rancor (reusable trample)
Champion of Lambholt (for getting around chump blockers)
Hunter's Insight (card advantage)
and so on...
Figures Oh well

Off topic much? Really annoying when you advertise like that in somebody's serious discussion.
Thanks guys, trades for the huntmasters and cavern have already been posted, so I won't need any more.
H: Tradelist
I am in need of 2x Huntmaster of the Fells and 1x Cavern of Souls
