Done, done and done smile

I think we will change the default setting from 0 to +1.

Or just make it so people can change the rating for up to 24 hours after the fact...

sebi wrote:

until then, you can go to your tradelist and add them there using the widget. It will automatically add them to your inventory as well.

Oh that's good to know. Thanks!

It would be nice of when we are added cards to our inventory, we can also mark them as available for trade at the same time. Would save sme time on adding them to our inventories and then marking them as available for trade.

Hello. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We have sent an email to him to try clarifying the situation. If there is no other way to solve this, the trade will be canceled, he gets a negative feedback and gets flagged as untrustworthy, which probably means he cannot trade on deckbox anymore until all open disputes are resolved.

In one of the next updates we will change the canceled trades system as described above. Any trade that has been accepted, and THEN canceled, will have valid feedback assigned, that counts to the user's score, and will be displayed on a user's profile (this also is coming up in the next update).

Ah so we are indeed supposed to report being ripped to you guys. I thought I read that somewhere, it should be on the trading page with a "report this trade" button to notify you guys.

I think you'll find your answer over in this thread where someone asked for YuGiOh.

He never sent cards in this trade:
http://deckbox.org/trades/5235?s=7927

Despite multiple times sending messages on deckbox, as well as sending him messages on reddit and through email.  I don't want to cancel the trade (since I sent my cards), and I don't want to click that I received them (because that doesn't do anything unless he also does that, and, well, because I didn't receive them.)

If this was supposed to go to support@deckbox.org instead, my apologies!  Feel free to delete the post, in that case.

Huh I remember seeing that trade, the name "Thrun, Remotely!" caught my eye. I can understand why you wouldn't want to cancel it but you probably should as that's the only way to mark it with negative feedback. Not everyone on this site reads the forums and might miss that on that chap otherwise. I may have to end up doing the same thing myself with one trade I had with this guy early this week, already sent the cards to him then he went silent. I'm hoping it'll work out still, but we'll see...

Probably what they should do is have three sections, completed trades, cancelled trades, and disputed trades. And have a dispute button the same way they have a cancel trade button. Then you can give your rating independent of that.

Haha lol

He is getting quite a few from me...

Ah now this time it did not log me out just now. However I kept Firefox open and logged in with Deckbox active in one of the tabs. Then I logged into Deckbox on my iPad and it did not log me out of my Firefox session. So it seems to happen if I am not actively using the site on one device and then log in with another device. Are you using Session IDs as opposed to simple cookies? Maybe the second device is being given a new session ID that doesn't match the first device, and when the second device tries to use the site with said session ID it is expired and thus logged out?

I don't see a session ID in the url, like one would normally expect with that method but there are other ways to do session IDs.

Yep, it's an interesting ideea, we shall consider it.

The problem is that making a tradelist or wishlist not public kind of goes against the purpose of the trading platform smile. We would need to exclude a person with a private tradelist from the listings on the card page, from possible trading opportunities, and also we cannot show the 'trading intersection' when other users visit your profile.

The trade list and wish list are different from the inventory though. A lot of us list all the cards in our inventory on this site because it helps us manage cards for decks, and trade, see what we need and where. The trade and wish list being public is one thing, but I think everyone here is not talking about that but about the Inventory, which includes the trade list sure, but is a lot more than just the trade list.

Just the Spirit and Soldier tokens from SCG? I have two of the spirit tokens and one soldier token from SCG. I need a couple Innistrad Block cards that aren't worth too much (They're not listed on my wish list though), such as 1x Mayor of Avabruck, 2x Moonmist, 3x Reckless Waif, 3x Kruin Outlaw, 1x Spidery Grasp, 4x Carvan Vigil, 1x Daybreak Ranger, 1x Gnaw to the Bone, 1x Bramblecrush. If you have some of those we can probably work something else, may have other stuff you want too, and I have a lot of WotC tokens as well...

Yah I just tried it again and it is still a problem. Logged out of Deckbox on my PC and cleared all my cookies and history then closed and restarted firefox. Cleared my cookies and history on my iPad 1 and closed / restarted Safari. Then I logged in on my PC via Firefox and it was fine and I closed Firefox as if I had walked away from the PC and it had shut down, then logged in on Safari on my iPad and that seemed fine (Making sure I had "Remember Me" checked on both when I logged in). I loaded up firefox on my PC again and went to deckbox, and I was logged out.

So still a problem.

Huh, well I will try clearing out my cookies etc on both machines. I had been checking remember me when logging in on either device. I'll report back if the problem persists.

It's probably a security feature you guys have implemented, but it's one I can find a tad bit annoying. Right now if I'm logged in on my PC then check the site on my iPad while on the couch, I have to login again on the iPad (Which then logs me out on the PC). So when I go back to the PC later I have to log in again, and so on and so on back and forth. It's not the end of the world, but it can be pretty annoying, especially since the iPad doesn't automatically remember/enter passwords for you.

It would be nice if the site allowed one to be able to be logged in from multiple devices at once. Perhaps have a session manager if you want people to be able to log out other rogue sessions like how Google and others do it.

A Delivery confirmation sticker was a problem? You mean standard delivery confirmation where no one has to sign for it? I don't send internationally myself, but would be surprised to learn this is problematic. If that's the case how do you track international shipments?

The delivery conformation sticker only works within the USA. So they tried to sell me international delivery conformation. The price for delivery conformation for international delivery is terrible; it is about 28 dollars which I refuse to pay. Instead I insure the package for its worth around 2-3 dollars. If anything gets lost I can just get the money back and have those cards purchased and shipped with the insurance money.

Interesting, do you know if UPS/Fedex is any better in that regard?

I have shipped a couple packages to CA from US. Most of the time when the USPS said it would take 3-5 days it took over a week to get there. My last package was lost in Mail limbo for about 12-14 days. I accidentally put a delivery conformation sticker on the package (wasn't thinking >.< ). The longest a trade has ever taken for me is over a month, from USA to USA, because of a mistake in my address on the package. So the package almost got to me then was sent back to sender and then back to me. I would look in your mail and see if the package was returned to you.

WotC tokens only? Or are SCG tokens good too?

Bump, still have these cards available for trade, and got all 4 Memnite's now. I won't be needing the Arcbound Ravagers anymore, but would go for anything else on my wish list. Here is a large listing of notable cards I have and that I'm looking for. You can always go right to my profile on deckbox to see my full wishlist and trade list. I keep it fairly up to date, but it may not reflect cards I am currently trading on and waiting to send out or receive on the mail.

Notable Haves:
1x Sorin, Lord of Innistrad
2x Entomb -Foil- (Graveborn) Valued at $16.00 USD
1x Tezzeret, Agent of Bolas (Mirrodin Besieged)
3x Inkmoth Nexus (Mirrodin Besieged) GONE
1x Goblin Sharpshooter (Onslaught)
1x Woodland Cemetery (Innistrad)
2x Visara the Dreadful (Onslaught)
1x Primordial Hydra (Magic 2012)
3x Solitary Confinement (Judgement)
1x Grafdigger's Cage -Foil- (Dark Ascension) Valued at $12.00 USD
1x Adaptive Automaton (Magic 2012)
5x Predator Ooze (Dark Ascension)
1x Vault of the Archangel (Dark Ascension)
3x Cranial Plating (Fifth Dawn) Cards are in MP condition GONE
4x Memnite (Scars of Mirrodin) GONE

Most Wanted:
1x Wrath of God (Tenth Edition)
3x Nevinyrral's Disk (Fourth Edition)
4x Birds of Paradise (Eight Edition)
4x Birds of Paradise (Seventh Edition)
2x Meddling Mage (Alara Reborn)
2x Trickbind (Time Spiral)
2x Sudden Spoiling (Time Spiral)
3x Skinshifter (Magic 2012)
2x Gaea's Blessing (Time Spiral)
4x Leatherback Baloth (Zendikar)

I'm not real picky about card quality, SP is fine and I will probably even be ok with MP cards as long as they're not torn, filled with holes, or drawn/written over (Dirty and some white showing is usually ok, helps if you have pictures).

I too would love to see this feature, and have the listed prices reflect what edition/style the card is. I too list the edition, style and condition of my cards in my inventory, want list and trade list. It seems most people do not do this though and it defaults to the latest version of whatever card they put in. And I suppose since most people don't bother to input or don't know they can input this data they don't check for it on other people's cards.

I'm constantly asking people what edition thir cards are in trades, and asking for pictures when I can get them (But few do that). Even still I have gotten cards that are a different edition than what I specified in the trade but decided to just ignore the mistake so far.

Having this stuff listed in the trade window would definitely help. So too would the ability for DeckBox to easily host or link to outside photos in a way that encouraged traders to post pics if possible.

I've got a couple Standard Staples I don't need in any of the decks I play, either because I have too many of them, or just don't need em. For example I have 7 Inkmoth Nexus, but only need 4, so I'm looking to trade 3 away. I've also got 1 Sorin and 1 Memnite (Soon to be 4) that I'd like to trade for other cards I do need as well.

I'll trade these towards anything of equal or close value on my want list provided you're within the continental United States. The card I want most right now is Arcbound Ravager, but I understand that may be hard to get and I'm willing to trade down to several copies of lower value cards.

You mean like what Essential Magic does?

Is there any way to provide negative feedback without canceling the trade?

Once it's cancelled, it drops off the list of trades that people would see, so I worry that negative feedback wouldn't be too helpful.  Otherwise, I can click I "received" the cards (I didn't), but I still can't leave feedback until they do the same thing.

Hmm, this is a very good point.

I think the issue is that we have to distinguish between 2 situations.

A "canceled trade" which was closed because it was abandoned or someone changed their mind. These kinds of trades should not count as feedback.

On the other hand, a trade that has been canceled after being accepted by both parties, should count. If it's accepted, there has to be a serious reason for cancelation, and feedback is important then.

We'll think about it a little, but I would change the feedback system in this way, making the "accept" button more important.

I agree with this, however I think it's also important to allow people to alter the trade after both have accepted the trade, but only if both parties agree to the change. Like say if someone made a mistake in what they thought they had available and accepted the trade not realizing this, then needed to alter it after the fact and did so in an amicable way that both parties were satisfied with (This exact thing happened to me). Further it would be nice if there was a history of changes made, so we can see what cards people take off and put on the offer over time.

That's a very short want list you got there. Unfortunately I don't have any of the 4 cards you want. I do want the Spellskite, Pact of Negation and Woodland Cemetery you have up for trade though. You're welcome to look through my list of cards up for trade, perhaps there is something you desire on there besides what is currently on your want list.
