AlmightySenator, So the fact that there isn't price spike controls on this site is what caused me to stop trying to sell here. it becomes such a hassle to explain that to someone, and then they leave negative feedback or buy again and claim you didn't send the cards. there are trash people and it sucks.

So Flesh and Blood is absolutely amazing and its popularity is growing leaps and bounds. it has a Euro release this month. Tthe game could definitely use your websites slick interface for collection tracking and trading. I would even bump up my premium subscription to include another TCG.

My issue is in part the fact that PayPal now charges to issue refunds. The buyers can leave negative feedback on a canceled sale. I have become hesitant to list anything over a dollar. If the price spike is only 1-2$ then no big deal. Even if it was 0.25$ to 2.50 I'd honor the sale. But going from 4 to 20 and multiple copies I'm not interested in losing 40$. especially when I could fire sale them for 30 on eBay in an hour
Just wish seller could check a confirmation process on sales. I'd even be okay with buyers being able to leave neutral feedback on cancel/refunded orders. Just not negative

How do other sellers handle price spikes?
do you just sell the cards at the crazy low values if some 0 feedback user logs i, and buys your pre-adjusted card for 10% of its current value?
Do any of you have suggestion how not to get a case of feel bads that you missed out?
example Bridge from Below has went from 3$ to 15-18$ Deckbox doesn't update its values very quickly and we haven't see the price change yet and it has been nearly 40 hours
any suggestion would be great

Due to the way PayPal will handle refunds, are there other payment options sellers can use? I am no longer willing to sell cards and take PayPal payments due to the fees PayPal will charge even if a transaction is cancelled. Does anyone have any suggestions?

So I realize that your right. I just hated seeing my feedback fall because someone expects me to serve them no matter the cost to myself. I'm just an average Joe with a collection,. I started selling as well as trading cause I figured never know when someone wants my card specificly.
I'll just keep doing what I'm doing, i just wanted to be treated like I treated others. No biggie

So I do local trades, and sometimes I do a trade that doesn't get recorded here until I remember to do so.
recently the card Aurelia's Fury has spiked and while I was at the card shop Tuesday night I had a guy buy it off me for 7$
I get home and there is an order that has been paid for that includes this card. I explained that I no longer had the card and I would refund his entire order
if he liked, because he also had about 7 other cards they wanted.. He then insinuated that I am trying to not honor a deal and demanded the Aurelia's Fury. I agree that it sucks wanting a card that suddenly spikes in value and you weren't the one that buys it for pennies on the dollar. but I don't believe that I should receive negative feedback on my account because I can't sell him the card he wants.
is there any way I can get this feedback removed?
I want to make sure that it is understood that I was polite, and refunded the entire amount of the order after the user insisted that I sell him the card.

I think you need to ask for a return. most people understand that this is part of shipping cards.
hopefully this small loss on the seller is a reminder they need to better secure the cards.
I forgot to tape down a card not to long ago, got lucky that it didn't get ruined. the buyer told me about it though and now i'm double checking
more lol.
Lastly if the seller isn't willing to exchange or refund if you send it back then you can request PayPal to a refund and charge back investigation. they are usually fairly decent at being fair. they will require you to give statement and allow the other party to give statement.

I am the same way. I pretty much set expectations on trades as Light play because I don't want to deal with condition skeptical people.
My suggestion still stands trade and sell over time.
I look at things like this, it cost me 2$ to sell a single card which means a card under 2$ cost me money to sell. and it costs me 20 cents to sell a card after the first 2$ so if I was buy a collection of cards that were worth 4$ each I would likely want to buy them for no more then 40% of the market price if I need to flip them. if I wanted to sit on them 50-70% is possible.

I think 1100 is in the ballpark, you might be able to squeeze another 100-300$ dollars if you wait for the right collection buyer.
if you don't sell the whole thing to a collection buyer you could probably net 1800 - 2000 if you sold the singles over time. but that is a ton of work and can take a lot of time.
think about it this way: a cards value is the price of supply over demand. profit is the value over effort of sale.
so if a card is worth 10$ and it cost 5 to get from you, and it takes another 3 dollars worth of effort to sell. Then that card is only worth 2$ in profit.
Cards that are under 10$ profit mark cause for razor thin margins.
if you sell the cards outright yourself you don't have the upfront capital expenditure so 2$ profit becomes 7$. This can create a skewed personal value to you of what the cards are worth. Remember you still need to put up 200-400$ worth of effort to sell the cards for a larger profit. which means you might get 1400-1800$ for a collection like this.
I do think you have a great collection, I think if you have time, trade the cards on this platform for cards you want. you have a ton of cards people would be willing to trade or even likely purchase from you.

I have woke up to 2 different transaction requests for cards not in my inevntory but behaving like the were.
Most recently I was paid for 2 cards I was selling and one of the cards wasn't one that I had or ever had. I had to issue a refund.
The other was a trade deal. On of the cards requested appears to to have been part if my inventory. It allowed them to select a card I didn't own as trade fodder.
I'm wondering if anyone else is seeing something similar, or how I can stop this from happening in the future.
