I second this request.

I'm in the process of entering my entire collection and have just done my Fallen Empires 'one of's and would really like to list each art variation of, for example, Armor Thrull, etc, seperately.

(bump)

Anyone?

Did I post this in the wrong place?

As a complete noob here, I'd certainly be more likely to trade with G_G_B than W_H based solely on the evidence in this thread.

Thanks, that's helpful.

One term I don't see defined there, though, is...

"Legacy"!

It might be interesting if you could take a snapshot of the current prices when completing a trade.

An option to show wether prices have been going up or down lately would be a great tool for some I know..

I can't speak for Sebi, but being someone who knows about databases and web interfaces, I know that these two would significantly increase the amount of storage required by the database (and potentially affect site performance).  It would mean recording prices for every trade, and, really, for every card (to get that price trend information).

That doesn't mean it won't be considered.  I just know that it would be a major change.

It might be possible to pull this data from TCGPlayer - they have price history graphs.

The OP has some good ideas.  I'd like to add that it would be incredibly useful to be able to filter the database by set.  Only see cards that were printed in M14 or Innistrad for example.

You can already filter by the set.  Go to the Card Database section for MTG.  Next select 'Advanced Search' and change 'Edition Printed In' to be the set that you want to display.

One thing I, as more of a collector than a player, would like the listing to then do is to display, in the Inventory Count column, only the number of those cards that one owns from that set - it would make managing and maintaining one's Wishlist and Tradelist much easier than it currently appears to be (I say "appears to be" because I'm noob to the site, so maybe there's already functionality to help with this that I'm not yet aware of).

I've been out of magic for some time, and I'm unfamiliar with some of the terms I've seen mentioned on the forums (e.g. 'Legacy') is there somewhere where such terms, and their meanings, are listed?

A lot of people think overseas trading is a big hassle.  Not sure of the costs UK->US, but US->UK is not terrible.  You just have to make sure the trade is worth it.  Usually if the shipping > 10% of trade value, I won't.  You just cut yourself off of a lot of opportunity.  Good luck, and welcome.

Unfortunately not cheap at the low-value end.

So, I would be looking to make any UK->US trades high-value, for that very reason.

Just to give you a heads up, we're a big community but I don't know many people who trade in the UK. So having that restriction on yourself to only trade within your country may hinder you being able to complete some of your collections.

Thanks.

It's more of a preference than a restriction.

I shall have to reword that part of my profile info (because having reread it I see it does come across as a restriction).

Oh cool, then I have some duals you need if you want to work out some sort of deal for them.

OK, cool.

I want to get the rest of my cards all cataloged, and my trade list sorted out, then I probably will contact you.

Hi,

I recently tried joining the Community but my joining request hasn't yet been approved - on the community page it says "Your request to join Reddit MTG Trades is awaiting approval".

Is there some other hoop I need to jump through before being approved?

What's the best way to sell/trade (a large number of) M:TG cards in the UK?

Singles? Bundles? Other?

TCGPlayer? Ebay? Other?

Not looking to maximise income/value, but don't want to be ripped off either (i.e. looking to sell/trade at a 'fair' average price/value for what I have).

Hi,

I'm currently (slowly) inventorying my entire collection of M:tG cards and one thing that would make the job much easier is if one could list only the cards of a given Edition in the Card Database.

Is this possible (and I'm just not seeing how to do it)?

Another thing I'd like to do, once I've got all my cards inventoried, is to calculate the value of a given subset of my cards (e.g. One of all my 4th Edition, or one each of all my commons, and so on (this is so that I can work out what the best way to sell off chunks of my collection are)).

Is this also possible (and I'm just not seeing how to do it)?

Thanks.
