It's not necro'ing if there's only one other thread above it tongue

I'm lordmalinari and I've played quite a few card games over my twelve+ years of gaming. I started with Pokemon (old school) and gradually gravitated towards Warhammer 40k CCG (1st Ed) and Magic (got into Magic properly around the time of Time Spiral but I'd been playing it since Masques block), then VS System which I played from the release of Marvel Origins to its cancellation. When VS System was cancelled I spent a few years flitting between games (WoW, L5R etc.) but with the release of Warhammer Invasion I've found a new, affordable card gaming hobby, and that's the reason why I'm here wink

If you have any questions about Warhammer Invasion feel free to ask and I hope you'll enjoy having me here as much as I'll enjoy being here big_smile

P.S. Yes, I'm one of those people who overuse smilies, what're you gonna do about it? tongue

With MtG I knew what mana curves worked for various decks. I haven’t built and played Warhammer enough to really understand the resource/loyalty curve well. Thinking about it just now, I’d try to expose as much information as possible. Would it be possible to do a 2d graph plotting resource costs against loyalty? I’m not sure how useful it would be, but I feel that it would be more useful than just resources or just resource + loyalty. A 2d graph would give insight into what you can play on the first turn (3 resource, 1 loyalty or 2 resource, 2 loyalty or similar) which I think is one of the more important aspects of a mana curve in general.

Yeah, when I'm building decks I find it much more useful to consider what portion of the deck I can play, and want to play, on turn one; and what options that gives me for turn two dependent on what I played on one. A mana curve isn't as important in Warhammer Invasion as resources can ramp up so fast its almost negligible if that's the kind of deck you want to build. In Magic you have the one-land-a-turn which forces the game into a specific flow unless you're running acceleration, in Invasion you can gain accelerate as fast or as slow as you want to, and cards like Innovate and Hate complicate things even further.

I think it would be good if other players could rate decks you've added, say out of 5 stars or something, with better decks thus receiving a higher rating. Then you could just click an option to sort the decks by rating, allowing you to bypass the (not necessarily bad, just janky, or suboptimal) lower rated builds and concentrate on the decks the community views as "better decks". Just a thought ^^

Hey guys, awesome job on the new Warhammer Invasion section. While I've been using it I've noticed two small errors, nothing game-breaking, just typos:

What you have as "Crooked Tree Goblins" should be "Crooked Teef Goblins"
and what you have as "Path of the Zealot Hunter" should be "Zealot Hunter"
