Go by the lowest rarity the card ever had.  I've got a new, uncommon corrupt in my deck because corrupt used to be common, for example.  Same goes for your general: if it was ever uncommon, it's good (e.g. Serra Angel is fine).

Other rule clarifications: only Paul is allowed any colorless nonland cards.  Colored artifacts are fine in the deck of that color.  As for lands, only lands that produce your color or colorless mana can be used.  If it has a colored mana symbol on it that's not your color, it's out.  So, we could all use Opal Palace or Command Tower, but only the white deck could use Abandoned Outpost, for example.

And I know some of us are posting our decks on here as we build them, but please don't go looking for hate cards aimed at others' cards to put into your own deck.  This is not that serious.  Despite this lengthy rules post.

I'm gonna have to put my commons and uncommons online so...I'll get back to you in a while haha.  If I don't have it up in time, I will gladly come over early and help you find/sleeve cards in exchange for borrowing a draft set, but I'll try to get mine up tonight.

I'm totally down!

Yes!  Any/all of this sounds fun.  I'd vote for Ravnica block draft or inventory draft.  I'm also free Wed&Thurs, in fact I think my only obligation at this point is Saturday night.

I could be wrong but I think he meant for this to be like a cube draft, you just play with the cards (instead of giving them up and keeping the ones you draft), so you don't have to worry about losing cards you want to keep.

Awesome idea!  Personally I think mythics should be the same rarity as a real pack (I think it's like 1/12 or something?).  Looks like I might have to actually put my commons and uncommons in my inventory....

I would buy a couple if you got them

I was at Boldo's with Paul and Sal, and stayed the whole time.  I opened Gruul, my first pick, and completely committed to the guild and its agressive creature-driven offense.  I kicked ass in 4 out of 6 rounds, but the other two were seasoned players who both had great orzhov decks chock full of extort creatures.  Once my deck ran out of steam, there was little I could do against a wall of tiny extorters.  In the end, I just barely lost game and went home with three prize packs instead of six packs and an intro deck.  But still, I finished 8 out of 50, so I'm very happy.

The surprise MVP card of the day in my deck was burst of strength, the green instant that untaps a creature and gives it a 1/1 counter.  Anyone who's played a bit of magic knows to be afraid of giant growths in a green deck, but it seems most players aren't used to worrying about a giant growth that surprises you by throwing a tapped blocker in your way.  I had two in my deck, and got a LOT of mileage out of them.

Prerelease was really fun, but I had forgotten how much less efficient and streamlined your deck can be compared to draft, where you focus on just two or three colors and only pick things you need.  The point of which is that I cannot WAIT to draft this set.
