Why stop with land? Several other card types (Creatures, Artifacts, etc.) create mana as well.

Noon-6 or so, if I had to guess.

A friend and I will be running a bit of a mini-painting and Hirst Arts workshop/hang out. I'll be the more bald one. wink

I've got a foil Malady, if you're interested. I'll be at Dragonstar Saturday.

I sleve anything that i plan on or am using in decks. The others really dont mater as long as they are protected somehow in my opinion. I wouldnt limit yourself to rares vs common/uncommons because there are plenty of comons that are worth more than rares.

well, that's the thing. I'm still to new to the game to know what is worth putting in the binder and what isnt. I am not even sure on a deck yet, much less what to sleeve in the binder! lol 825 cards is daunting to a newb tongue

Enter your collection into deckbox's Inventory, then sort by price. That's how I pull valuable C/U.

Is it possible to get the column sort function added to active trades (not my tradelist or wishlist, but the actual list of cards in any given trade)?

Since I physically sort my cards by set, it can be difficult to pull a lot of cards if they're from many different sets. Having a way to sort (alphabetically, by set, rarity, etc) would make this process significantly easier.

If not, ah, well. Still love the site. smile

IIRC, it is $19.99 for a deckbuilder box (cheaper online, etc.).

Also, keep in mind that MtG 2015 comes out in July; it might be worthwhile to wait and get the new edition's Deckbuilder box.

The Theros block is the most recent, and legal for all sanctioned formats.

Have fun!

Added the Turn-Maker deck.

I'm also interested in building a couple of introductory decks for friends that want to play; any ideas?

Regarding protection:

http://wiki.mtgsalvation.com/article/Protection

Regarding Source (where the effect is coming from):

http://wiki.mtgsalvation.com/article/Source

So, when an enchantment gives a creature +2/+2, the enchantment is not dealing damage, the creature is.

-Dave

ETA: Regarding enchantments, " These enchantments must be attached to an object specified by the Enchant ability, and exert an effect on that object. " (emphasis mine)
This shows that the enchantment spell has an effect on your creature card (for example), not an effect on your opponent's protected card.

I've been working on a few ideas for decks, please check them out and let me know what you think and/or what I can do to improve them.

Pauper Mill (Pauper format Mill deck):

Plus One, The Turn-Maker (pump Sage of Hours for extra turns, pump others for attack):

As I said, comments and constructive criticism is welcome. Thanks!

I like the Demolock. The Sylvan Primordial is less useful (due to lack of basic Forests in my version), and I get the feeling there's more Enchantment shenanigans coming around (making Primevil Bounty more vulnerable), but Bounty looks like it can get vicious.

Updated to add the Demolock : http://deckbox.org/sets/681582?

I'll have to test this build out. I like it. smile

I've played with this a bit, added some blue:

http://deckbox.org/sets/681582?

It needs some teeth, it doesn't really have a kill move (other than Keranos; is he enough?). I also pulled a few things from the sideboard.

I, for one, love the new search function.

The inventory import tool is simple, elegant, and intuitive. It's also rather faster than the other methods I've seen mentioned.

Good work!
-Dave

ETA: Also, there's an Advanced Search option on the Card Database page; is this not the one you want to use (or was it just added back)?

Hill's has 1000 commons for $25 (http://www.wholesalegaming.biz look in the Card Lots section). Sound like Canada may be the way to go....

Also, feel free to check my inventory for anything you might be interested in. Most of what I have is older, though.

I am not well-versed in the languages in question, but that appears to be Chinese.

Edit: Yep, I found a Zendikar Plain in chinese, same characters. ( http://www.mtgmintcard.com/images/produ … NS-233.jpg )

I have several cards that have more than one image/art (e.g. Mesa Falcon has at least two different art images in Homelands).

Will the database ever be updated to include (more) alternate art?

I too am relatively new (stopped back in '95, picked it back up a few months ago).

I currently have a R/U deck that is Red direct damage, two Spawn of Thaxes (Thraxos?) for a finishing move, and lots of blue draw meta.

I recommend checking some of the decks other members have built and uploaded to the site. Lots of good ideas there.
