Also noticed chandra was being sold for 50$ at my LGS, what gives with the price?

She's being used in Legacy, Modern, and Standard.

Also, apparently SCG did what they did to fetches with her. So she skyrocketed in price

Apparently (and this is only what I have heard) they bought out all the cheap copies of Chandra and put her onto the market at higher prices.

Fetches used to be less that $25 and they did the same thing to those (which made them skyrocket up to 50 dollars), so it doesn't surprise me that they would do it to Chandra as well.

Since she's a newer card that's breaking into the eternal formats, she's in high demand as of now since people want to brew new decks with her.
