I need to cancel an order at the buyers request. The text on the page tells me I can do so within an hour. I'm not seeing a button or option for that. I read the guidelines of canceling but can't find how to actually do it. Help please?

The button appears after an hour :). We made it that way so that the buyer has time to re-try the payment or check paypal and see what went wrong.

I see the order is canceled now, so all is good, right?

Yep, everything is straightened out. Thanks. I must have misread and thought that it was WITHIN that hour that you could cancel, not AFTER an hour.
