I am currently going through all of my cards and taking inventory of them. When I started going through my blue cards I got to my sea monster cards. In the 8th edition ones I found one that was purple rather than the standard blue. I have been searching online to figure out why there would be one with a different color and can't seem to find any answers. I though I would post the question to you all and see if you know anything about it. It isn't yellowed like it was sitting in the sun and lost its color it's just purple.

I understand your pain, finding information is difficult on cards with strange printing and similar effects...
