Was it two or three? If only two, it was (imo) no deal. Even three ends up being more than retail (depending on the tax rate where you live).

I don't mean to be a downer, but am just questioning how much of a bargain it really is.

I agree. I was going to say the same thing!

I think he meant that he got two deals, that were each three packs, for $12.98. Which means a total of six packs, so roughly $2.16 a pack.

I could be off-base, though.

If it really is 2.16 per pack, I would buy a whole lot! Crossing fingers!

This is correct. It was $6.49 for 3-boosters. Super cheap!

2-3 packs = 6 packs. It was most definitely a deal @ 2.16 a pack. :)
They have a thing for gatecrash right now for 3 packs for $10 (not great, but better than 1/2 of the LGS prices around here.
I hope to afford more when the next drop happens.
