Feedback on canceled trade

After almost 100 trades, I finally had a trade canceled after addresses were exchanged. (Other user's choice, not mine.) How does feedback work in this situation? He left me feedback (+1) but it doesn't appear to be displayed on my profile. I haven't left him feedback as I'm waiting until I figure this out.

Does feedback for this trade ever show up on our profiles? Does it matter who cancels -- like if A cancels on B, then feedback A leaves doesn't show up, but feedback B leaves for A does show up? Does it matter what stage the trade is at? I feel like I've seen a number of canceled trades in users' feedback ratings, but this isn't showing up in mine so I'm trying to figure out what's going on.
