Krosan Tusker/ Dead Reckoning seem cool together! Also, Nighthowler!

I like the vengeful idea, and probably good enough. Merfolk Looter is too good to run less than 4 imo. Breathstealer's Crypt is an idea. I think its okay here? Whispering Madness and Looter il-Kor would make a good team on that note.

The other idea I had was to play a bunch of critters with perks when they die, like; draw-fetch-persist(Puppeteer Clique!!). Idk, looks cool tho!!

Vengeful Pharoh is just as banned as Torpor Orb.

he seems like he could be good, but he might be detrimental if you don't want to keep drawing him. luckily he's got an awesome interaction with mindshrieker

And if somone attacks you, and you've any discard thingy out, so drop a pharoah, get hit, redraw it, and that pretty much stops that from happening ever again.  Who cares about redrawing it if people are forced to hit you for 20 all at once?

the problem with the deck is that it has 0 answers to any sort of artifact/enchantment shenanigans. no way to counter stuff, and no card draw. so if someone drops a norn's annex I'll have my work cut out for me

          • Your Mother (27-Aug-2013 20:56)

So just don't play yourself, since no one else does that crap.  =)

Also, I don't see how he would ever be on top of you library for mindshieker to mill?  If he is in your graveyard someone's got to hit you, then your turn, draw him, you attack with mind, hes not there, he's in your hand.  Right?

        • Greg DeSimone (27-Aug-2013 19:45)

end of upkeep you mill him with the ability, then draw.

          • Your Mother (27-Aug-2013 20:56)

Oh so you don't use him to hit someone, you use him to keep him in the graveyard for {2}?  That sounds .... Greglike

only reason to actually cast that card in this deck is if I am staring down a huge creature that I want to use his dicktouch to block.

so yeah, i untap, mill him during upkeep to make mindshrieker a 6/6 until EOT, draw a card that i don't necessarily want to immediatley throw in my graveyard, then swing with the mindshrieker.

              • Your Mother (28-Aug-2013 15:30)

Upkeep.  Derp.  I always forget about that.  I am now very much impressed with this combo, and I highly suggest rebuilding this deck around that.  Might I also suggest Dead Reckoning

                    Dead Reckonings pretty sweet
