I have some DCI promo cards which aren't from any sets Gatherer is aware of, so prefer to leave 'edition' blank while setting promo and foil. However, it seems I can no longer save a card like this: it will ignore the foil and promo settings unless I set an edition.

I had a similar problem with a new promo card, but I think the solution is to choose the edition "promo cards for Gatherer", which uses the set symbol of an "M" within a circle. If your specific cards don't have this option, then I'd submit a bug report for those specific cards.

This looks to be fixed now - promo/textless cards without a set can be flagged as such again. Awesome!
