Hey folks! I just recently moved to the Atlanta metro area NW of the city. I wanted to see whether any of you good folks had recommendations on gaming stores for purchasing, trading, and playing. So far, I've plans to visit Raven's Nest and Giga-Bites, both in the Marietta area. I'm basically looking for a welcoming store and community.

Thanks in advance!

Guy hasn't been back online since the 30th according to his profile. Just FYI.

Thanks for that. I keep forgetting about that new feature in the latest release. I did hear from him via private message, so all is well.

Hey, snowdrifts, do you want to continue with this trade now that it's the new year? I still have your lands put aside. Let me know!

If you're a B/W/R player, are you thinking about combining a B/W tokens build with some game changers like Aurelia?  Sounds fun, if anything else!

I've tended to lean towards either straight-up W, WR humans, or WB token mixes, but your idea intrigues me quite a bit. :-)

Obzedat and the new Gideon look pretty darn solid, but the sleeper is going to be Frontline Medic with all of the white flying around.  It's even splashable since it's one W / 2 C

Yes, I saw Frontline Medic this morning and my worries from yesterday started to melt away instantly. The counter for X costed spells will be quite the insurance policy from Revelation, Bonfire, Entreat, plus those new, nasty Simic cards.

I appreciate the support, folks!

Dakkon4444, I got back into MTG after Squadron Hawk, so I'm not sure how that changed the (meta)game. Glad to find another BWR player. :-)

I know this is a bit off-topic for a trading board, but I wanted to get a general consensus from you good folks about the Boros and Orzhova cards that WotC and other sources (Gathering Magic and TCG) have been revealing from Gatecrash. It really seems to me that Dimir and Simic are going to be the game-changer and dominating cards in the set. As someone who plays primarily white, red, and black, I'm a bit worried that my favorite guilds may be short-changed. Both battalion and extort are great mechanics, but the cards previewed so far, especially in Boros, are making me wonder whether they can keep up with BUG and Bant control.

Am I missing something obvious? What do you see as the hidden gems so far?

Thank you for your guidance and expertise.

The M13 card prices have been updated and should be fine now.

Sebi, thanks for your swift response and for fixing the M13 prices. They are all better now. :-)

I'm not sure I follow your example, are you referring to selecting an edition in the card details panel? I admit we haven't really tested it too much on tablets, we'll try to do it soon (because tablets rock and we would love deckbox to work great on them tongue).

Actually, it's any interaction where a tool tip appears over, or adjacent to, a link or button. Two examples: when clicking on any of my decks, I see a tool tip with the deck's name appear to the right of the link when I click/tap it, but I need to click/tap on the deck's name again to actually get to it. Also, for my earlier example, yes, I was referring to selecting an edition for a card. It's relatively easy enough to change once I know where to go, but it is a bit awkward at first. I keep thinking I need to click/tap on the tool tip to make the change vs. the icon. Also, the target zone on an tablet is a bit small unless I zoom in.

I'm very pleased to know that you and the Deckbox crew are happy to accommodate tablet users such as myself. I would be more than happy to test any features you like from my iPad or Android phone.

Sebi and the Deckbox team,

Thank you very much for all of your hard work in getting these changes finalized and implemented. I've been using Deckbox since the summer of 2012, and have really come to rely upon this site to manage my growing MTG collection. The format synchronization between the import and export will be a major help for backups, etc., and I already appreciate being able to distinguish whether another trader wants foils, signed, etc.

Two things I noticed as I logged on this morning:

1) All prices for Magic 2013 cards are showing up as $0.00, whether I define the edition or not. The same goes for all basic lands, which, to be honest, I'm fine with vs. the oddly ramped up costs for these cards that I had seen before.

2) The Ajax/jQuery-style code effects aren't really geared for iPad users like me. I can still do what I need around the site, but some of the newest features (such as selecting the edition from the icon in the card details page) make me perform an extra step to do what I need from a touchscreen. Also, the typeface isn't consistent between page formats (profile main page vs. trade in progress page). These aren't deal breakers for me by any means, but I wanted to let you know about them nonetheless.

Again, you guys are fully awesome, and you continue to have my loyalty. :-)

Happy New Year!

Ok, great. Four or five total should be plenty. I started a trade with you.

Got it. Trade on its way soon. How many golem tokens do you have?

The only snow-covered basic I have left is one plains from Ice Age in lightly played condition. Would you still be interested? If so, I'll start a trade with you.

Thanks! The only token I have is a 4/4 AVR angel ... I traded you all my tokens not that long ago. :-) Are you open to anything else on our lists? Also, what do you value the golem tokens at?

Folks,

I'd like to offer a unique service to this community: let me help you name your MTG decks! I have a lot of fun coming up with interesting and creative names for my own, and a friend has suggested I offer the same to this group. Some examples of my creations are:

* Belmont's Bane (B vampire tribal)
* Mid-Evil Times (Rakdos aggro)
* Oh, the Humanity! (W human EDH)
* Smite Makes Right (W angelic/holy)
* Splice of Life (UW golem tribal)
* Test Your Metal (RW metalcraft)
* Unbroken Line (W vigilance)
* Vein and Suffering (RB vampire tribal)

If you're interested, please send me a message via Deckbox with the link to your deck. I'll do my best to come up with a fitting monicker for you!

This is a fun exercise for me, so I'm not looking for payment. If, however, you really like what I come up with, I would welcome a plains, swamp, or mountain basic land card from the Alara block, or a simple common from my wishlist.

Thank you!

Bump (final time)

Folks, I've decided to get out of green. It's not a color I play nor have a great deal of large or powerful cards, so I'd rather distribute what I have to those who need them. My green cards are mostly commons and uncommons, but check out my tradelist and see if there's anything useful to you:

Let me know if you have any questions, and thank you!

I'd be interested in two of your Glacial Fortresses, but I'm not sure whether I have anything you need. Feel free to check my tradelist. I'm also open to reasonable offers on my inventory. Thanks!

Certainly. I have the six lands put aside. Send me an e-mail via my Deckbox profile when you're ready.

Are you mailing the cards directly from the post office? I also use the PayPal shipping method GarrukWildspeaker posted and $1.64 usually covers me for shipping most of my trades within the U.S. Plus, it does give you a delivery confirmation number. I simply drop my padded envelopes right in a mailbox. Done and done.

OK, snowdrifts, I have six of the lands from your list:

1) Avacyn Restored #234
2) New Phyrexia #175
3) Shards of Alara #231
4) Shards of Alara #232
5) Shards of Alara #249
6) Champions of Kamigawa #288

Let me know if you still want to trade for this subset.

Bump

I think I can help you with a lot of these. I split a land lot from Troll and Toad with some friends, and have a good number of Kamigawa, SoM, and Alara lands. There's not much in your tradelist for me, either, but I'd be fine with a land for land trade.

I'm OK with shipping to Ottawa. Let me know if you want to proceed, and I'll get you the specific list of what I have on hand.

Hey, folks! I'm looking for several 3/3 and 9/9 golem tokens from the Scars of Mirrodin block to add to my WU golem tribal deck.

I'd like up to four 3/3 tokens (SoM or New Phyrexia) and two 9/9 tokens (Mirrodin Besieged). I value each at $0.10. See my tradelist below for something you'd like in return. Also, feel free to add other items to the trade.

Thank you!
