Are you still experiencing this issue? I've tried to reproduce it and I don't seem to be able to. Can you please make a screenshot of the trade when it happens, before and after the page refresh, so I can take a look at what exactly happens? It would help us greatly in finding the issue!

Sure, Sebi.  I will keep it in mind - I only have one trade open right now, and it has so many cards in it that it would be difficult to restore it if I mess it up.  I'm not planning on starting a new trade soon, but I will take screenshots and make whatever notes I can the next time it happens.  In the meantime, if anyone else runs into this, can you take screenshots for Sebi?  I think at least one other person has told me they've run into this problem, but I don't remember who it was.

Can we get power and toughness back in the deck view?
Thanks.

Happy New Year, deckbox team!  You are the best!

Thanks for reporting. It's fixed now.

You are super-fast!  Thanks!

Yes, HikingStick - I found that when I enter or modify a card (by clicking apply on the widget, not by quick-entering a card) it does update all versions of that card.  Going forward, it looks good!  Right now, I'm updating my tradelist to match my inventory.  The generic cards that I had specified in my tradelist did not map to specific versions in my inventory (and I wouldn't have wanted them to), so I'm cleaning it up over the next few days.  I think the data for my cards will be in pretty good shape when I'm done with that.

I'll probably export to excel when I'm done and analyze it for any possible inconsistencies, because I'm a big nerd.

People have been talking about can get/can give counts not matching what shows up on other users' profile pages.  I don't think this has been said, so I'd like to point out that it seems to stem from specifying editions.  If someone wants Elves of Deep Shadow from The Dark, and your tradelist has it listed with no edition, it will show in the count on your profile, but it will not show as a potential trade on the other person's profile page.  I suggest that everyone leave details off of their wishlists unless they truly do care.

After using the new add cards widget for a little bit, I have to say that I like it a lot!  However, I would still like it not to actually add a card until I hit "Apply."

Great job on making the inventory pages update when you delete lines - it used to be the case that when you deleted a card, the page would just display one less line.  Now it grabs the next card and adds it to the page.  Just wanted to let you know that the subtle changes you made are noticed and appreciated.

Two more requests:
Can we get back the ability to see low and average prices by hovering over a price?  Or include some way to switch between prices without going to settings and back to the original page.  I like to see both low and average prices - any way to enable that should be fine by me.

Though I love the new add cards widget, I don't really want to see it when I'm looking at a new decklist and adding cards to my wishlist if I don't have them.  It that case, it's easier to just type in the yellow box, since I don't care about edition.  Or, it would be cool to have a button on the deck list page that automatically adds what you don't have to your wishlist.  Of course, I seem to be more acquisitive than the average user here, so perhaps this feature isn't widely desired.

Thanks, as always, for this amazing site!

I can indeed post trade chat messages now.  Thanks for the fast fix!  Things that I pay for never have customer service as good as deckbox - you guys deserve a medal!  (Or a donate button...)

Hi again - I just found that I can't post messages in the trade chat for an open trade.  When I type a message and press enter or click "Send Message," it takes me back to my profile page.
Thanks again for working so hard on this stuff!

Hello Sebi,

Before I start with the nitpicking, I should say that the hard work you put in is overwhelming positive.  Thanks!

The following stuff has mostly been said before, but I figure that multiple posts let you know what people care about.  It would be great to collapse the inventory view to card name only, just like the previous version of deckbox.  While there are times that I would want to see all my different Giant Growths listed out, I usually just want to see how many I have.

When the only difference between cards is the date added, I would prefer not to see them displayed separately.  Others might not like this idea, but I would suggest that when I add a card, every card in my inventory with the same name would have its "Date Added" field updated.  That way, they would be grouped together.  The new card entry interface is a bit confusing, but I'm going to give it time.  There is a learning curve to everything, and I may end up liking this better than the old one.

Anyway, here are the two main points of the above paragraph.  When I enter a new card, I'd like to see how many I have in total.  And I would like to view my cards grouped by card name.

I don't know how to improve this, but I don't quite like that tradelist entries with unspecified editions show up as separate lines in my inventory.  It looks like I have more cards because of the extra lines.  More importantly, I don't really want to specify editions.  Consider the following example:  I have 4 revised Wanderlust and 2 4th edition Wanderlust.  I only need 4 total, so I'll trade 2.  If someone is looking for 2 revised versions, they could have them.  Or if someone wants 2 4th edition, they could have them.  I don't want to miss out on any trading opportunities by specifying editions.  Basically, I want to make sure that people who want a wanderlust can find me no matter which edition they want.  Of course, I know that no one actually wants Wanderlust;)

A couple of actual bugs (I think).
-When pop-up windows (such as the Edit Details interface) have scrollbars, the window disappears when I try to click on the scroll bar.
-Some of my cards (Phyrexian Walker, for example) display a decks icon indicating that they are present in decks.  Other cards (Careful Study) are in decks, but do not show the icon.  I couldn't think of a reason for this.
-Also, I think card entries should go away when everything is set to zero.  I have two entries for Phyrexian Walker.  One has 5 inventory, 1 tradelist, 0 wishlist.  The other is all zeros.  That may not be an actual bug, but I liked the old method better.   I'm using windows 7, firefox 17.0.1.

Finally, I'd like to be able to sort by tradelist and inventory counts again (which only makes sense if you can group by card name).  I generally trade cards when I have more than four, so sorting this way helps me keep my tradelist updated.

Okay, this is my last edit wink  - After using the add cards widget a little bit, I think it's great.  I just wish that it didn't add a card immediately upon selecting the card's name.  Can you make two versions?  A quick-add version like the one in place, and also a version where you have to click apply before anything hits inventory.  That would be fantastic.

Thanks again - this is an amazing site!

Happy Holidays, everyone!

+1 to Remy's idea above.

I agree that senders should be responsible for the cards reaching their destination.  I think that such a system will work well if, as suggested, we are given additional checkboxes to note certain issues (such as claims of lost mail or poor shipping practices).

I would be _really_ reluctant to ever give someone less than a +1 feedback.  I am even unlikely to describe a problem in the comment next to the positive feedback.  I think the only way to get users like me to record this important information is to provide checkboxes.  If I can check "Cards were sent without hard toploader/inadequate protection," or "trader claimed not to receive cards; cards re-sent," I could do so without the fear that it will be taken personally.

In this fashion, we will all get the protection we need.  If I get damaged cards and a user has ten instances of inadequate protection marked on his trades, it should be easier for me to prove my case.  More importantly, I will continue to be able to send without DC, knowing that deckbox has ways of weeding out serial scammers.

I think a question that remains to be addressed is how to display this new information.  I wouldn't want to make it as prominent as feedback, because I wouldn't want a few negative issues to discourage trading.  But if traders have access to the information, they can make informed decisions about how to protect themselves, or whether to make the trade at all.

One last benefit from this: codifying these (somewhat) minor trade issues and adding checkboxes would likely help people learn to be better traders.

Thanks!

Aw, man - I just sold my collection of 1500 cards on eBay a little while ago.

But in case you haven't looked, you can get star wars cards for CHEAP on eBay (depending on the set, I suppose).

www.miniaturemarket.com still sells new boxes, too.

Good luck!

In reference to the potential trade tools (both the intersection listing that is displayed when I am on another user's profile page and the can get/can give listing for Reddit users that is displayed on my own profile page):

If someone has specified that they want the M12 edition of Acidic Slime, and I have specified that the M11 version is in my tradelist, will Acidic Slime be displayed as a potential trade?  I think that the default should be to display it, since people may specific editions without actually caring.  It would be useful, however, to be able to filter down to exact matches on command, as there are users who want a lot of foil cards or A/B/U editions.  It currently looks like I can trade with them, but they don't actually want anything from me.

Also, it would useful to have some different sorting available on the trading opportunities.  Ideally (and I know this could be ridiculously hard to implement), I'd like to see an ordering along these lines.  Take the lower of the total value that I can get and the total value I can give, and sort that in descending order.  This would let me see my biggest potential trades first.  Failing that, I would at least like to have the option of filtering out people who don't want anything on my tradelist.

Again, thank you for a truly amazing site!

Hi, Sebi.  I'm on this site all the time, and I love it!  I'm sure the new version will be excellent.  Apologies to everyone for a post without any constructive feedback, but I really wanted to say thanks for working to make deckbox even better.

I will try to get scans of the cards up tonight.

I'm also up for fetchlands (not misty rainforest or scalding tarn - they're overvalued due to market manipulation).

Maybe mox opals or glimmer voids, I don't know.  What do you want to give me?  wink
I'd probably like to see a little junk thrown in on top, as well.

Please don't send offers of just smaller stuff.  Not interested.  I might be interested in trading the 2 oozes for something bigger.

Thanks!

Here is a link to the scans:

I think the shuffle creasing is more visible in real life than the scan would lead you to believe.

Hi, I have two extirpates up for trade.  They look SP on the fronts, but have shuffle creasing on the backs.  I suppose I could do scans or pics if people want to see them.  (If it was really convenient, I'd have done it already, but just ask if you want to see.)

I know there is someone out there who just wants a couple of these legacy staples and doesn't care too much about the condition wink

My wishlist has a pretty good fraction of extant magic cards on it, so you probably have something I'd trade for.  The flavor of the moment is living end, suicide black, and dredge.

Thanks!

Mistbeaver: were there specific cards you wanted from me?  I could try to pick things from your trade list, but I'd need to know what you're looking for.  Thanks!

Null parameter: I'm certainly open to trading the lilianas individually.  I haven't figured out a valuation yet; I usually just compare my cards to stuff on people's trade lists.  I'll give it some thought.  Feel free to suggest something, though.

I'd love to get some offers on the above.  Feel free to ignore my wishlist and just make me a tempting offer.  Do check out my tradelist while you're at it.  I also have a RtR Blood Crypt and a Dreadbore that aren't on my deckbox profile as of this writing.

The cards I mentioned by name above are all NM.

Thanks!
