The only Magic I've played last 2.5 years was the occasional EDH, but because of your discussions I've got a yearning for a sealed event, so we're going tomorrow for a release event, yay!

I think I'm going for Izzet. Or Golgari...

We'll let you know how it goes (i.e. in which horrible ways we're getting our ass kicked by everyone there smile ).

Hello guys,

Effective tomorrow Standard & Extended are rotating, so we're updating our legality information to reflect that.

Standard

Standard now has sets Innistrad to Return to Ravnica.

Extended

Extended has Zendikar to Return to Ravnica. Jace, the Mind Sculptor, Mental Misstep, Ponder, Preordain and Stoneforge Mystic are still banned.

Modern

For Modern, we had an oversight in the legality info: Punishing Fire and Wild Nacatl were banned since January this year. We've now updated the info as well. (for reference: http://www.wizards.com/magic/magazine/a … ature/174a)

Also, as of the 1st of October, Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle is unbanned in modern (http://www.wizards.com/magic/magazine/a … /09202012a).

Vintage

Vintage sees Burning Wish becoming unrestricted as of 1st of October as well. Fact or Fiction, Frantic Search, Gush,  were listed by us as restricted but they are not anymore, so we've updated them. Thirst for Knowledge is now listed as restricted.

Legacy

Land Tax[1], Time Spiral are no longer listed as banned. Survival of the Fittest is now listed as banned.

Banned and deleted the forum user. We had the information necessary to ban him, but somehow his user missed the cut smile

Fixed now, we should be fine.

I've never tried it either, and I'm pretty interested in people's opinions / experiences with cubes.

As an added question, has anyone tried out drafting in 2 players from a cube? Did you still use a bigger (300+ card) cube, or did you design a smaller one for that, and how did it go? smile

This isn't for me, but for newer players who are probably on a tighter budget. The ability to search out decks by price range would definitely help new players find deck strategies that fit their budget.

Forgot to answer this post: it's a great idea, we definitely want to do this in the future! We want to make a smarter deck search, where you could indicate a "theme" of the deck, or a handful of cards that will be the main staples, and the search would show you the most popular decks including them.

Price would fit well as a filtering option for such a search. (But nevertheless it would fit well on the simple search we have now as well!).

Hello,

The fall set is now imported: http://deckbox.org/games/mtg/cards?f=53111. We wish everyone good luck at the prerelease events!

The fall rotation is coming next week - due 5th of October for Standard and Extended. We will update set and card format legality most probably on the 4th.

Happy deckbuilding!

P.S. We have another tiny teaser image for the new listing on the trades page:

http://i.imgur.com/J5M30.png

There's a discussion going on in the site feedback forum about it: http://deckbox.org/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=23848#p23848. If you have some requests for enhancing the trade page, that's the place to tell us, and now's the time! smile

Hello, thanks for a very in depth request description! It also came at a great point in time, as we're just working on the trade listing for the next release these days, and we've played around with various UI versions of the card listing.

I will start by acknowledging the reason for cancellation idea as cool. It's on the list now, probably not for this release, but for the next one. Secondly, I'd like to ask you to clarify what the adjust wishlist and tradelist mean in your flow description, i'm not 100% sure I get it right.

On to the cool part: the listing. The current version of our in-development listing on the trade page looks something like this:

http://i.imgur.com/J5M30.png

Cards are separated based on their details, so I have here added an "Alpha, German, Played Lightning Bolt" and an "M11 English Foil near mint Lightning Bolt" to this trade.

The counts on the left have tooltips explaining what they represent, but since there's no tooltips in a screenshot, I'll summarise smile. In green is the editable number of cards you intend to trade. Then follow the number in your inventory, your tradelist and the other person's wishlist. (it's 0 all the way, ignore that, normally it would show matching numbers there).

The red background cells are highlighted because you have 1 Aethersnipe from Commander in this trade, but none in your inventory. And here comes in a problem we still have with this listing. While you dont' have that exact type of Aethersnipe, you do have some Athersnipes with no specified edition, and a couple (not visible here) from Lorwyn.

We still have to find a way to enable you to see this information (all other aethersnipes you have in your inv/tradelist) and edit your traded counts quickly to show that you actually want to trade a Lorwyn Aethersnipe.

You could of course just put 0 instead of 1 in the count and then add your Lorwyn Aethersnipe with the autocompleted input above, but that is slow and awkward. I'm currently leaning in favor of somehow providing a button that would expand the listing adding your other Aethersnipes here, even if they have a 0 in the for trade count. You could then edit everything to the desired counts.

Lastly, to address your suggested "pending in-trade" counts, I can see why it would be a very useful information, but I'm a bit unsure if we can add many more other count columns to this listing without making it very confusing. We'll try out some things, but I'm a little skeptical. Maybe we find another way to show that info (in a "more information" tooltip somewhere maybe....).

I'm aware my previous description, with no actual website to click on might be a bit hard to read, and also that the listing might end up too confusing, which is what we're trying to avoid smile. Let us know what you think. We'll post more info as we go along.

Thank you very much for your feedback and interest!

It's related to an older reported issue, and we've fixed it for the next release already. Should be in the next deploy which is coming soon(tm). big_smile

Haha, no worries.

Thank you Crux. With a bit of delay, here it is: http://deckbox.org/games/whi/cards?f=4333 big_smile

Hello t3chnomanc3r, sorry for the delay in looking at this issue.

In your inventory csv export there is indeed a Mercadian Masques Mint condition Swamp, but that is correct, as you have it listed as such in your inventory.

1 Subterranean hangar is also present in your inventory, with mercadian masks listed as edition, and is also present in the export.

Can you please clarify why you think the csv is not correct?

I'm trying to use the view price (or print out) an inventory list...However, the ad bar (For warhammer Online Gold...Though it's been mysts of pandariea) is set to be on top of everything so that it covers up part of the list that is created when you go over the 'View' bar.  You can't scroll down over the list as it goes away as soon as my mouse pointer hits the ad bar.

Hello skyth. Can you please tell us which browser are you using?

Does this actually list how many of each card that you are getting in other trades, right alongside how many you want in total?!
Wow.  I am looking forward to this update more and more each day.

Actually that's not exactly what it says,  maybe the listing is a bit confusing and we need to clarify the table a bit. It says that the guy has 2 Absolute Law in his tradelist and you have 3 in your wishlist.

EDITION=M13
2, Acidic Slime
3, Ajani's Sunstriker
1, Angelic Benediction, , , , Foil

EDITION=M12
1, Acidic Slime
2, Aether Adept

This looks like an interesting option. I had intended to just have a standar CSV parser for the textarea, and also a possibility to upload a CSV file. But I like your ideea of a smarter input with some "meta" lines in there. Will try some things over the weekend and I'll post back smile

It's been nine months since the last post and no update on this issue? This seems like a no-brainer to me...

I've got a lot of pre-con decks that I kept intact. Importing them via a net-published decklist and then going back and adding editions and qualities is torture.

Hello. This will be part of the next release, although not exactly as described. There is a discussion on it with an alpha screenshot in the Announcement forums.

Right now, if users put details on their tradelist cards, you can see that information by clicking on the edition symbols to the right of a card's name.

Next release we're improving Inv / Tradelist / Wishlist listings with much better visibility and handling of card details, so it should solve this issue completely.

I really like option 1. For now, we've banned some user patterns, and it seems under control. If it flares again, we'll look into this idea.

Captchas are very annoying and don't always work. We've added them on the "Email user" page after someone made a script that emailed users with spam messages, and it worked exactly 1 day smile. Granted, it was a simple captcha plugin, not powered by reCaptcha or the other bigger ones, but still... I have the feeling that it just annoys users with little non-guaranteed benefit.

This is a legitimate request, but we will have to change some things before we can implement it. There were some consistency issues with how gatherer stored the card number, and our database is incomplete. (some cards have it, others don't). We need to clean that up and try fetching all card numbers again first. I can't promise anything for this year, there's a big backlog sad. But it's noted!

A very reasonable request, and a feature that I myself would like to use. smile It will come, but since we're shaking up things in our handling of prices with the next release, it has to wait until afterwards.

Thanks for the detailed suggestions.

Your 1st and 3rd points will be directly addressed by the september release. The Non-Complete Card details filter idea I really like, and we'll try to squeeze it in. If it doesn't make it, it will be in a following patch after the release.

The rarity issue is indeed brought up quite a bit, but we can't promise we'll fix it right away. I am sure it is very annoying, and it's on the list of things to fix, but low prio compared to other stuff.

Hello,

Thank you for your kind words. Don't feel bad about adblock, I'm using it myself big_smile.

As for donations, we're not supporting that, and don't intend to add them either. We are however cooking some ideas which would enable site users to contribute back. More info to come after the september release. wink

Hello, thanks for bringing this to our attention, and with a detailed report.

On the issue of Magic 2013 appearing twice - this has been now fixed.

The CSV export, and the Advanced card import are getting some changes and fixes in our upcoming release (due end of this month), The CSV files exported will be directly "importable".

Also the Subterranean Hangar issue looks like a bug on our side, we are investigating that as well.

Cool stuff!
