Not quite related, but I was adding in GK1 Guild Kit cards and noticed that the set symbol is wrong. smile

Hi, everyone!

I'm an EDH player who is getting into Cube as well, and looking to swap out a lot of my "tradelist" for stuff on my "wishlist" without much concern about specific cards.  Just looking to add more variety to my collection without having to spend a ton of money.  Hoping there are folks out there in kind of the same boat or, at least, folks with OCD who can swap with me to help fill holes in incomplete sets.

I don't typically collect playsets, since I don't do Standard, Modern, or any of the other 4x formats.  My general rule when I crack booster boxes is "keep 2, tradelist the rest" and most of my incoming trades are me asking for just one-ofs in order to fill that empty space although I can go to two-ofs on cards if needed to even out swaps.

I like to "do unto others", meaning I don't like offering up handfuls of 10-cent commons in the hopes of trading them for a foil Doubling Season or something and I try to keep my trades to within $1 so that neither of us feels ripped off.

Any takers?  Feel free to propose trades if interested!

Do not mail the card back to him/her. It is illegal to knowingly send counterfeit items through the mail.  My very first trade on here  I received fake cards. I looked up on options online and learned via the post office that’s it is illegal. Only way I was able to get my cards bad is threaten with reporting him.  Destroy the card or use it in a cube. Just don’t mail it.

Thank you for this reply.

A relative sent me a box of old Pokemon cards and I am trading them off for MTG cards here on Deckbox.  Not knowing much about Pokemon, I photographed the cards for a trader to look at.  He kindly pointed out that one was probably a counterfeit because the set it came from specifically did not have shadowed borders, where this one did.

Needless to say, I pulled it from the trade binder and flagged it with a post-it note.

My middle child is casually into Pokemon and my initial thought had been to pass him any that weren't traded off (as he doesn't take good care of his cards and these are from the first 5 sets ever printed) but the thought of him taking this card to school/an LGS and potentially releasing it into the wild has me opting to give it to the 1-year-old son of two of my kitchen table group instead since he's always reaching for our MtG cards as it is and I know his gnawing-n-drooling habits will take that card from "LP" to "Dude, I wouldn't take it even if you paid ME the NM price to take it" condition in moments flat while entertaining him all the while.

Chaophim uses teething toddler.  It is super effective!

Glad I didn't blindly mail this out to a serious collector.

A little trick I've come up with, as a newbie, for getting orders ready, especially for folks with big collections...

Before finalizing the order (which will remove the cards from your tradelist), make a "throwaway deck" with them, using the new feature to let you choose the printing (even though the printing is also shown on the original tradelist).

Then, when you finalize, use this throwaway deck as a checklist, moving cards to the sideboard as you physically pull them.  I keep my cards in longboxes, sorted by color and type, so this faux-deck lets me sort the cards by rarity first (so I can snag the ones I need from the binders) and then re-sort by color so I don't have to keep switching boxes every other card - I can pull all of one color, move on to the next, etc.,

Then, at the end, I look at the original trade list and sort the cards into the same order before sending.

Helps make sure I don't accidentally forget something.

Nevermind - I am an idiot.  Did not realize that the notes buttons had been moved to the drop-downs, only that the folder icons had vanished. sad

A well-meaning relative of mine, knowing that I have kids, passed me a box of Pokemon cards in case the kids were interested in them.  My kids aren't *that* into Pokemon and these are from the first 4-5 sets.  As the kids can be a bit neglectful towards toys/cards and knowing, as an MtG collector, how valuable older cards can potentially be, I was looking to see if anyone out there who would like and appreciate these cards might be interested in swapping some/all of them for cards in my MtG wishlist.

It took me a bit to learn their identifying marks, etc., but yeah - I have an MtG fatpack box of commons/uncommons and a few binder pages of rares, promos, etc.,  Tried this trade a few times at my LGS but folks there were only interested in trading within the same game, if at all, although the LGS did buy a very small handful of them.

I know it is a long shot, but figured I'd ask.  Reply in here and/or e-mail me via the site mailer if interested.

Nope, they should still be there. In which deck listing did this happen? Could you open a ticket & mention the deck with the issues?

I opened the ticket and submitted a sample deck.  Just in case it looks fine on your end, here's what it looks like on mine.

Hey, thanks for continuing to add features!

Just a question - is there a reason why you can't filter by "Commander" as a format? It's pretty much all I play.
Also, sorry if this has been asked, but related to this do you plan to add functionality to show partner commanders when a deck is tagged as commander format? At present you can only mark one card as your commander.

Thanks!

Thank you for all the hard work you put into this site!

I know this is just adding stuff to your plate, most likely, but I'd love to see a feature, going off of what Hamish said, added where tagging a deck as Commander and setting said commander to whichever card(s) would sort of 'lock' the deck to the color identity and 'red flag' cards not in that identity, by using their existing color/cost flags as a guide.

Granted, some cards featuring additional colors in their rules text would probably still slip through the cracks as the cost/color only looks at the casting CMC and not the whole card itself. sad

Another, unrelated, request that I would like to make, since we can now choose versions, is the addition of a generic-ish proxy icon so that I can tell, at a glance, if I am using my real Doubling Season in a certain deck or a printed proxy, as I do that to prevent having to hunt-n-find and then re-sleeve deck sharing.

Still missing the Battlebond release promos, I didn't find them listed anywhere when I quickly searched today, but will keep looking.

Would it help if folks with promos scanned them in and sent them to you?  I know that doesn't help with the pricing column, but still gets 'em an image for listing. smile

Adding in my request for the tokens and promos to be added, please!
