@Tizzy
Trade started. Not a whole whole lot on your inventory that's in my list, though you indicated there's more that isn't in deckbox.
@GoldSoundz
I need *most* things. I have a Green Zenith, and a Genesis Wave, but no Lightning Greaves. My wishlist has all of the things from that deck that I need, but it also has some things not from that deck, so I shared a link with the deck. If it's not ALSO on here: http://deckbox.org/sets/210385 then I already have at least one. I don't think I have any shocklands. I'd have to go over my inventory at home to check, but I tend to pay attention to any cards talked about as much as the shocklands, so I doubt it.
Forgot to say that I especially haven't put in many of my RtR cards, so if you want a rare from there it's best to ask rather than assume I don't have. My RtR pulls have been pretty good.
The big pull I have is a playset of thragtusks that are played, but played very lovingly. They have been the center of a deck that I loved (but have torn down) since I only had one. They have been in sleeves since day one.
Looking to build my first commander deck. Current list of cards I think go in it here: http://deckbox.org/sets/246937?s=i&o=d
Ideally want the biggest chunk of that list in one trade. It honestly doesn't matter to me if it's a handful of the money cards in there or a much larger group of the $0.50 cards, though that obviously affects your shipping price. Am willing to include more than just the Thragtusks if there's more you want (I'm still finding and entering in my rares, so if you're looking for that one thing, ask). Am also willing to take things that aren't on my list if you think it goes well in the deck and can convince me, or if it's in my wishlist for some other deck.
Have never traded on deckbox before, and totally understand the hesitation some will have. Am willing to send first if you've done a decent number of trades. Might be able to work something out with someone that hasn't, though it is trickier. Not going to blindly send first to someone that has just as little deckbox rep as myself.
Edit: Two of the thragtusks are claimed. Still have two, but no longer have a full playset.
I wouldn't be allowed to do such in any other tournament, I'm not in favor of it for this.
There's no official format that has such a huge sideboard. You would be allowed to swap your entire sideboard in between games, and your sideboard would be allowed to have lands, etc. This is just a unique case where sideboard >= size of deck.
I can see the arguments for nay (I'm not a horse, thank you!).
That being said, I voted yay. Why? With this few cards, if you can built two fairly competent decks, go for it. I'm actually amazed you can pull it off. Yes, over time it gets easier, but over time others are also trading their good off-color cards for even better on-color cards. My gut says that the person running two decks is at a theoretical disadvantage.
A lot of games in this format tend to be "oh, I got mana screwed." Let's share tales of games that are far more epic.
Today I obtained a Deaths Presence and decided to change my entire deck to be centered around it. Unfortunately, most games I didn't see it. But I did in one game with Fred D.
I had Death's Presence a Dreg Mangler, and a Dark Revenant. He had a seemingly endless supply of blockers. Before I got this set up though, he had gotten me down to 7 life. I got the Dreg Mangler up to about 10/10 with Death's Presence, then started attacking with it every turn. He was forced to keep a blocker open, and use them. Most of the time those blockers killed my Dark Revenant, boosting Dreg Mangler up 2 every turn. It seemed to be a stalemate.
Then Fred got a card that allowed him to exile a creature with power greater than 5. I had no cards in my hand, so I couldn't stop my Dreg being exiled. Being exiled isn't dying (right???) so my other creature got no tokens. Fred was then able to overrun me pretty easily since I had been sacrificing my creatures so readily.
Lesson learned: Get creatures with lifelink. Also, good job Fred on making absolutely sure to kill my few creatures with Trample once you saw what I was doing. That would have made it a different game, too.
