Just so everyone knows, this weekend if you already had a magic online account, you get a free pre-release event.  And yes, you get to keep the cards and you win packs of M15 in it smile

New accounts don't benefit, but all old accounts got 35 phantom points (Enough for one sealed event) and one of each of the special hunt tokens that are needed to enter one of the events.

It would be interesting what would get pulled from my collection wink

However, I can't guarantee my availability for anything in the near future sad

It takes about 2 hours for a draft.

I've been getting real cards from Magic Online for awhile now. (Cheaper to get a full set on MTGO than off Ebay typically).

Magic Online has several sealed events daily.

one that can only really be played in EDH - it is too slow anywhere else (lets be honest, thragfire omnidoor was never a real deck).

Thragfire omnidoor did win a couple events, so it was, by definition, a 'real' deck.  Besides, you can't judge something as being designed only as an EDH card just because no one has won a big event with it.  That's like saying that Notion Thief was designed as an EDH card wink

There are lots of cards that are playable in Standard, but not part of the 'top tier' deck metagame.  Some have big, cool effects.  The most recent pro tour had a couple cards that I saw being used that are considered 'EDH' cards...The GB enchantment that gets stuff back from your graveyard and the Red enchantment that makes whatever you cast random.

I would put that enchantment (Possibility storm) in the same category as Worldfire.

It's not just for EDH.  It does enable a combo (Thragtusk+Worldfire).  It's also for Timmy type players that go 'Hey, this is a cool effect'.  I don't think it was designed with EDH in mind, and was quickly banned from EDH.

I thought Worldfire was banned in EDH.

I'm not able to make it I'm afraid.

The problem I'm running into doing trading is that most people that have cards I want don't want anything that I have and people who want cards that I have don't have anything that I want. sad

I wish there was a way to just get a list of people that do mail trades, have been on recently, and where there are possibilities of a mutual trade from both people.  Heck, setting a min and a max for the dollar value of the best trade that could happen would be great too smile

The only one I could have made was the second Sunday one at Millenium.  Well, with all the computer issues I was having at work, I was getting a bit frustrated.  Combine that with someone walking in 2 minutes before I was going to lock the door made it so that I would have to hurry to Millenium and not have dinner.

All combined, I decided that I was too frustrated to enjoy myself so I decided to just go home and spend time with my wife smile

Maybe Dragon's maze will be the charm that I can actually make a pre-release.

Also, Boldo's is only on Saturday.  They have it at RIT on Sunday.  Millenium has 2 each day Saturday and Sunday.  Not sure about the other stores.

Azorius isn't an option.  It's the other 5 guilds...

It's a tournament they have before the official release.  You get (I believe) 6 boosters (One of which is a booster specific to your guild) plus a rare promo card to build a 40 card deck.

Because of my work schedule, I can only make the second one on Sunday at Millenium.  I'm planning on going Orzhov.

Thought you were meeting me at Boldo's Friday wink

You're probably thinking of Cockatrice.  Yes, it works, but it is clunky mostly because it doesn't know the rules of the game (Mostly for copyright reasons).  Possibly you're thinking of MTGO which is the official program, but you have to buy cards for that seperately.

I've played with both, but Cocatrice is nice for testing out decks solo before you build them.   Neither program is web-based.

It was internet explorer on my laptop.  I'm guessing 8th edition (I'm on my desktop and it works fine).  It also works in compatibility mode I found out.

I'm trying to use the view price (or print out) an inventory list...However, the ad bar (For warhammer Online Gold...Though it's been mysts of pandariea) is set to be on top of everything so that it covers up part of the list that is created when you go over the 'View' bar.  You can't scroll down over the list as it goes away as soon as my mouse pointer hits the ad bar.
