Cant seem to figure out what to drop for twinflame, or if I should at all.

I want to ditch madcap skills because its an on the table card, no tricks, open 2 for 1.
Meanwhile a spell in my hand is much more surprising and could provide more damage.

also switched my sideboard around, added 2 hammer of purphoros.

For that to work, I would need 5 mana for dictate on their turn.
provided I have or draw a sixth next turn.

I would need 5 devotion to get the job done.
reckoner +4 others = 5 damage. doubled by dictate.
Twinflame it for another 10.

Couple burning trees for some early nykthos shenanigans and you could see this much damage sooner.

Right.
The first thing that came to mind was ranger's guile, 3 on sideboard to throw in there against any removal heavy decks.
8 creatures that pose problems to control.

I dont expect him to win every game, I do expect him to be killed and when they dont kill him... I expect him to do work.
I have dealt lethal damage with any of the creatures in the deck.. granting +1/+1 & double strike via armed // dangerous can provide some dirty damage, especially with any pumps and/or dictate of the twin gods.

any other protection recommendations?

I tend to have difficulty with UW control heavy in Celestial Flare & Azorius Charms...

*edit* was also considering adding destructive revelry to blow up banishing light / detention spheres

Thank you for your reply..
I do have two twinflames lying around... would be even better striving various other cards on board.

Not sure if that would be good main, and I dont know what I would side it in against.

I like the splash white for boros charm indestructibility. Unfortunately I just dumped all of my sacred foundries and temple of triumphs to progress my modern fetch base!
wanted to keep my standard play simple while everything was volatile in pricing approaching M15 & rotation.

My store has a significant mix of skill and playstyle, not a ton of attendance.

Last game day I won with a full on perfect Jund Monsters with current metagame sideboard / structure.. etc.
First match was a izzet control brew, 2-0
second match was Mono Black (T1 competitive player), 2-0
final match was against a friend, and previous Pro Tour qualifier playing UW Control. 2-1

I do not expect the same performance or decks, however there is a very possible chance I may face my friend again and him using the same deck in round 3.
I do expect two rounds of brews / T2 aggro or devo decks, which I will have zero difficulty with, this deck seems to steamroll anything aggro with tricks.
I would like to keep this deck concept while catering the sideboard a bit more to give me an edge against UW/x control.

Currently testing against golgari devotion & UW control.

Loved Prophetic Flamespeaker and decided to make a deck around him.

http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/gruul-quad-damage/

This deck attacks from many angles, and typically will wait for the right opportunity to 20-0 someone in one go.
Depending on the match up.

Taking it to game day, so far the largest hit dealt was a 3/3 reckoner equipped Dangerous from Armed // Dangerous.
10 power on board for opponent, dictate of twin gods in play. 10 to reckoner, translating to 20 from dictate. 20 redirected to his face, translating to 40 with dictate yet again.

Let me know what you think! I may sideboard in some Cacklers or Firedrinker Satyrs for the control match ups to reduce my curve and add some early aggression.

Second? First non Admin? lol

Found this PT to be a little less interesting than others. Although I loved the concept of Theros block constructed, like the best decks out of all the cards we currently draft!
However after watching all the coverage, it just wound up being Prognostic Sphinx control versus Elpseth + decks.
I think Chapin deserved to win (also my favorite pro player), as they kept commenting on how he was one of the few if not only Junk players to run Fleecemane Lion.
He simply picked the strongest cards in each casting cost, and made a deck to counter what he expected to see after extensive testing on MTGO.

A lot of familiar archetypes from block draft, some new. I felt as though it was a vanilla preview of deck types to come post rotation.
Some clear all stars in my mind were;

Prognostic Sphinx
Courser of Kruphix
Silence the Believers
Elspeth, Sun's Champion
Fleecemane Lion
Sylvan Caryatid

There were probably many more, these however appeared in most decks or performed extremely well.

Personally I will be buying as many Prognostic Sphinx as I can find at $0.50, It's already starting to rise and I feel it will be a backbone in post rotation control decks.
And then there was Elspeth. I already knew she was going to be a bomb, and knew she was going to go up post rotation.. but being splashed in off-color decks I did not expect!

Super excited for Pro Tour M15 Portland. Standard format with RTR Block, THS Block, M14 & M15. Gonna be awesome.

Scalding Tarn: $91.87, TCG: $88.00                  ~$4
Arid Mesa: $48.74, TCG: $54.04 mid                 ~$5
Domri Rade: $27.33, TCG: $30.48                     ~$3
Stormbreath Dragon: $17.65, TCG: $19.79       ~$2
Spellskite: $16.00, TCG: $18.14                        ~$2
Sacred Foundry: $11.99, TCG: $13.99               ~$2
Abrupt Decay: $10.33, TCG: $9.31                    ~$1
Courser of Kruphix: $7.35, TCG: $8.55              ~$1

Although these price differences arent enormous, they do make a difference on the whole.
I am sure it's a factoring of actual value & sale value, as a lot of people try to sell lower to make quick profits...

On the over all, my collection is now about $200 +/-$100 less than what it was before the loss of TCG prices... however it's hard to say considering I had 20+ trades in process during the collapse.
Very close if not better to what it once was, excellent job to the Deckbox team and all of those who assisted them.

I agree with this Wholeheartedly.
I know TCG Player is gone now, but with all the work being done on the website.. maybe now is a good time to add FNM Promos / Full arts / Artist Proof option / general promo foils.

Always sad when I see an incorrect price on promos and have to refer to various websites to declare value.
One specific noteable is the buy a box promo for Rise of Eldrazi; Emrakul, the Aeons Torn.

Regular Midrange: $49.99
Regular Foil Midrange: only one listed on TCGP @ $199.99
Buy a box Promo Foil Midrange: $38

I have seen it quite a few times, people listing it as set: Eldrazi, Foil, Promo.
promo not effecting the price and a BaB promo showing up as ~$200.
And some people using that listed value to inflate the actual value of the card.

cancelled all open trades due to this pricing issue that adding the market place has caused.  Now past trades i cant track the performance of them or my collection value awesome.

Let me know when this is fixed so i can bother with this site again

Well That's incredibly rude.. These regular people have put in all their time and dedication to provide us with a well established trading service for free!
I probably wouldnt even be playing modern, OR the standard decks I wanted to play if it wasnt for deckbox trading without spending a silly amount of cash on additional cards. Deckbox is the best thing that has happened to me during my time playing MTG.

Also, why would you cancel your existing trades, is it really that difficult to open another browser to reference prices during this TCGPlayer dilemma? I feel sorry for the people that were trading were you.

I am very sad that TCGPlayer has done this to Deckbox, but their Idea is very impressive and I like shopping from them (when I cant trade for what I want) as is. However, this is just a crazy good strategy for them.

Like others have suggested, maybe we can hop on the MTGPrice/MTGStocks API data until deckbox data is a little more established...

Silent Sentinel $11.95, its a quarter if we're lucky
Alpha Timber Wolves seems to be down roughly $55
Beta Nightmare is down about $20 **EDIT** This was actually my Alpha Nightmare, which is $230 less than before. The Beta is $0 and no where to be found. ***EDIT***
Unlimited Nightmare appear to have dropped off to $0.58. Previously >$12
Geist of saint traft is down $8
Xenagos, God is down $4
Stoneforge Mystic is down $4
stormbreath dragon is down $2.50
Quite a bit down ~$2

$0 listed cards at different price ranges
Looks like Forgestroker Dragon made it to my front page, although listed at $0 sitting around $12
Brimaz appears to be less than $24 but listed at $0
Domri Rade is >$24 but <$28, previously $33.99?
Griselbrand also in the same price range, previously $33
Thoughtseize Theros is <$13.87

Not mentioning the rest of the $0 cards, as I am sure the Deckbox staff are fully aware, just the ones that really stuck out to me.

A lot of the cards seem to be on the Low end or less of the once TCG price range. Which I imagine is because people just wanted quick sales, or just didnt know what their cards were worth!

Hey all,

I Have four Mint foil Mutavaults from Core M14, and I am in some desperate need of fetches for my modern deck.

I would accept any of the below;
4x Arid Mesa
2x Misty Rainforest
1x MM tarmy

NM Condition is important to me, and these Mutas are as perfect as you can get.
Please and Thank you for your consideration!
