I'm trying to build Jeskai Nahiri and want to trade away pieces of my Grishoalbrand deck for pieces. I also have a lot of the stuff in modern Jund (Abrupt Decay, Ravines, Thoughtseizes, etc...)

IMPORTANT NOTE: I am located in Canada and the Canada Post workers have announced their plan to go on strike starting Friday July 8th for a undetermined amount of time. The last strike a few years ago lasted almost a month during which mail delivery was cancelled. For that reason, I won't complete any trade until we've had an update on the situation in case of a mail stoppage. Canada Post handles all mail sent to Canada through USPS so even if it'd be possible for me to use another carrier (such as UPS), your package would probably not make it to me if sent through USPS.

Feel free to start trades especially if you're not in a rush.

My trade list is usually up to date. My wishlist has more stuff but I'm mostly focused on the UWR stuff for now.

Hi!

I'm moving into Modern on MTGO and would love to trade some of my standard paper cards for either MTGO tickets or modern staples. If someone's looking to get into Standard on paper I can probably put most decks (or at least the pre-FRF versions) together. It'd be great if I could do a few big trades instead of trading 1-2 cards at a time for tickets. The very best scenario would be if someone was getting out of MTGO to get into paper... let's hope this happens big_smile

Some interesting things I have available:
* Jeskai Tokens complete
* All Commander 2013 and 2014 decks.
* 4x Elspeth, Sun's Champion
* Kolaghan, the Storm's Fury, Foiled (FRF)
* Ugin, the Spirit Dragon (FRF)
* KTK Fetches
* Rare, Common and Uncommon Foils
* 4x Sorin, Solemn Visitor
* 2x Whisperwood Elemental (FRF)
* 3x Thoughtseize (THS)
* A booster box's worth of FRF rares

I'd prefer not to break the Commander decks as I bought them to play with friends who don't play much and they borrow them from time to time. Trading the whole deck would be great since I'd rather not end up with 2/3 of a deck I won't want to rebuild just so it can be used every couple of months.

I've done a Paper-to-MTGO trade on here before and it went great so I thought I'd ask again. I'm shipping from Canada but for any big trade ($100+ in value) I'll ship with Canada Post's Express which gets anywhere in the US in 4 days max and comes with tracking number (transferred to USPS once it crosses the border). I don't have many feedbacks on here so I'm willing to ship first to users with great scores. Otherwise I would ask for half the value on MTGO first and the other half once you've received the cards.

I'm also willing to absorb a lost of value if we come to a good deal and trade multiple times with the same person. I'll be covering shipping for everything as well.

Hello!

I have some Standard cards to trade as I can't do Standard night at my local shop and am moving into Modern. My inventory is all up for grabs but some key cards are:

Nissa, Worldwaker
Elspeth, Sun's Champion
Ajani, Mentor of Heroes
Chord of Calling
3x Eidolon of the Great Revel
Scry lands
Herald of Torment *Foiled*

I'm not entirely sure what deck I'm building just yet so I'm opened to all trade offers for Modern staples. I like control type decks but I don't think I want to invest into UWr right now so I might be trying to build something a bit cheaper, maybe UR Delver or RG Tron. I kinda want to build a paper copy as well as a modo copy of the same deck to get a lot of play out of it so it kind of cuts my budget in half... anyways!

PS: Quite new to Modern so I'm opened to suggestions.

I'm located in Canada but I'll trade anywhere in North America.

As the title say, I can't make FNM at my local shop to play standard so I'm thinking of moving into Modern. I'm really interested in building a RG Tron deck or UWr Control. I don't have much to trade but I did open a box of M15 this week and got a few good cards (Nissa being one of them). I'll be adding those to my Inventory tomorrow hopefully but I'm also looking to potential buy some key modern pieces.

The problem is, it's more expensive, over $7 plus customs forms...

It's 1.20$, 1.80$ or 2.95$ depending on the weight (0-30g, 30-50g and 50-100g) to ship to the US without tracking. I sent cards for a few trades last week (and received some this week) and 6-7 cards with top loaders in less than 50g usually (so about 1.80$ for shipping to the US). Adding tracking makes the price go way up because of an inconsistency between Canada Post and the USPS. Our registered mail service isn't supported by the USPS so the tracking stops once it crosses the borders which means you either have to send your document as a tracked parcel (for about 16$) or in an Xpresspost pre-paid envelope (for the pretty ridiculous amount of 25$).

From Wikipedia

Theros contains 249 cards (20 basic lands, 121 commons, 60 uncommons, 53 rares, 15 mythic rares)
Born of the Gods / Journey into Nyx contains 165 cards (60 Common, 60 Uncommon, 35 Rare, 10 Mythic)

So your odds of getting a Mythic in a Theros pack are better than in a BNG or JOU pack. Unfortunately that's not all you have to look at. At least 4 mythics in Theros aren't worth the price of the pack they're in. The "concentration" of valuable mythics definitely higher in BNG and JOU. That's only mythics though, there are a lot of value rares in the block.

Going by the tcgplayer prices, the Theros set is worth ~215$ (0.863$/card), BNG is ~141$ (0.855$/card) and JOU is ~162$ (0.9818$/card) so if you do an average of the value of each card you open it seems JOU is the way to go. I kinda wanted to calculate the EV of a booster box for each of the sets but I'm too tired. Maybe I'll do it tomorrow.

Hey! Here's a list of things I have available for trade and a pretty vague list of what I'm looking for. I'm located in Montreal, QC so if anybody is in the area I'd be glad to meet up for the exchange. For all other Canadian citizens, my part time job is in a post office so I know how to ship stuff properly and I'm aware of the different shipping methods. (I also get a sweet discount on shipping supplies!) I'm building a Standard Control deck. I'm not sure of the flavour just yet, but I definitely need a lot from the UW shell. Hey! I just got a foil Brimaz, but I'm trying to build a UWr control deck right now and couldn't find anything I really need in your trade list (except maybe Archangel of Thune but that's really not a priority right now). You do seem to have a few of the key pieces I need in your Inventory though, so let me know if you'd be willing to trade from this and I could have a look. Hopefully I made it public but here's a listing of the deck I'm kind of going for right now.

First and foremost: this deck is inspired by a bunch of UBW decks I've been seeing in the past couple of weeks so there's definite credit due to people around here. I should've taken down names while writing ideas but I didn't, sorry! and thanks a lot!
I've been trying to build a UBW control/mill deck not right away but as something I can work on with time. I can't afford the whole thing at once but I figured I could get a few of the more expensive cards once in a while and I'll have a complete deck in a few weeks. Before I start purchasing anything though I feel like I really need some pointers.

For one, the deck has too many cards. I tried cutting stuff out but I kinda like all those cards so I'm torn at this point. I'm new to deckbuilding and saw a few articles saying to "pick 9 cards and get 4 copies of each" but clearly I didn't follow. Sphinx's Revelation, for instance, is an amazing card but I mostly added it to the deck because I opened one (I can't really afford buying 3 more of it). Is it worth having just 1 copy or is the odds of actually getting it when it'd be useful too low?

Secondly, lands! I went with a bunch of fancy lands but this seems wrong. I was tempted to use only "Temple of X" from Theros since Scry is awesome but there's no White/Blue. Should I get rid of RTR-Block lands, use Temples + Hallowed Fountains and basic lands? I also have a bunch of Guild Gates I could use.

Creatures: Not sure if Daxos is actually good but it seems great to me and I had lots of fun using it at the pre-release (which was my first 'live' MTG event) so I really wanted to use it. I had it paired with Gift of Immortality during pre-release and although I lost quite a bit it was fun to play. Aetherling seems to be a no-brainer in most Control/Mill decks and Omenspeaker is a good defense against fast 2/2 (and Scrying is awesome)
What do you guys think? Any tips appreciated. Thanks!

tl;dr: Trying to build a deck with pieces I can gather over the next couple of weeks. Some of the choices might seem odd so I'm looking for ideas. Thanks!
