Starting a seller account and I have posted a bunch of stuff from DTK and FRF. I will be working to add KTK and then working my way backwards to get rid of some pretty massive inventory.

Greetings:

After jumping in with both feet last fall, and spending way too much on cards, I have decided to change my focus.

Originally, I had grand plans of completing sets, and I have gone pretty crazy in trying to do so. This weekend, I have reevaluated this plan, and I am going to change my approach.

This leaves me with more than 30,000 cards that I don't really need. Does anyone have advice on the easiest method to sell cards that makes the most financial sense? I have checked out buy-lists, but it seems fruitless to sell a lot of bulk as the cost of shipping would be prohibitive.

Any advice would be very welcome.

Greetings Deckbox Community:

I started collecting Magic cards late last year because my students were talking about it at school, and now I am officially hooked. If you check out my inventory, you will see how swept up I have become.

We cannot play at school, and I have had very little experience "playing" the game. I did play in the Fate Reforged pre-release, and I think I am ready to brave Friday Night Magic tomorrow night.

The problem is that I have not created any decks. Eventually, I think I will run Red-Black-White, but I think it might be easier for me to start with two colors (Red-Black), and I think I want to call my deck Flames and Fiends.

One problem I have is that I have been approaching cards as a collector, so I don't have too many multiples of higher end cards. I did go and pick up an additional Thoughtseize and Bloodstained Mire tonight.

I was hoping some people can give me some pointers for starting to build my deck. Everytime I start to try, I get overwhelmed with how many cards are available. I know the basics (mana base, 60 cards, no more than 4, etc.).

Any help and advice my newfound Deckbox community might be able to provide (so I don't embarrass myself too much tomorrow night) would be greatly appreciated.

I am not sure if I ever narrowed down the entire problem. I think I got freaked out a bit when I started getting all kinds of offers for things not in my tradelist (trying to keep up with it all). When I checked, in many sets I had four of every mythic listed, and cards were no longer on my wishlist. I figured I had made some errors inputting, so I started over and fixed everything.

I appreciate the reply...new to the hobby and to the site. I jumped into a premium membership, and trading has been very difficult with the lists screwed up. On a side note, the day the premium trial started, my inventory, tradelist, and wishlist got all screwed up and I had to re-enter everything! At least it helped me to know my collection.
