I have a question, on a trade I sent out (with DC) the last update on the tracking is "Delivery status not updated" after being out for delivery on June 20. The person I'm trading with claims he never received the card, and I have yet to receive his cards after just over a week (he didn't send with DC, my bad for not making sure he would).

If this doesn't sort itself out, what do I do? I have a feeling that the mailperson just forgot to scan the bar code for the DC before sticking the bubble mailer in the destination mail box, but of course there's no way to prove that. Furthermore, what happens if I don't get the cards from this person? Am I just out of luck?

It would help the Deckbox Team provide better assistance if you can provide a link to the trade and include any discussion that had occurred. The tracking number would also be useful. Thank you!

Well, I'm not at the point where I want to call this person a bad trader. Still hoping this will resolve itself... this is more a "what if" my fears are correct?

I've moved this post to General Discussion as it's not a BTR. If you have trouble reaching an agreement, feel free to open one up.

According to Deckbox rules:

2.2. Sending cards
  • The sender is responsible for getting the cards to the destination
  • The sender will be held accountable for items lost in the mail if a form of tracking was not used. Proof of sending is not sufficient
  • Senders cannot be held responsible for loss of packages after delivery has been proven.
  • If a problem has occurred, please resend your part of the deal, return the cards you received (if applicable), or make appropriate monetary restitution (the parties involved can decide on which one of these options is best)

It is unfortunate that you used DC but it was not updated. Ultimately, delivery cannot be proven for either party. In this case, you guys must agree to either have both parties resend their cards or to cancel the trade.
