I have found that when i have strict matching enabled it still doesn't differentiate between foil and non-foil. can this be updated?

Where do you see this not working as it should? Could you give me a link?

here Jacob has a Sphinx of Uthuun however it is a foil. I have tried using that drop down to pick a "non-foil" option but there isnt one. i figured it would default to a non-foil unless i selected foil.

Ah, I see what you mean. It's true, if you select you want foil, you only see foils matched. But if you don't then it means "either foil or non-foil" and there isn't yet a way to specifically say you do not want a foil. We'll think about this...
