lets say no player has an attachment card in play

i wanna give this unit a damage though because i have healing units out and would trigger [whi]The Glittering Tower[/whi]

I don't think that destroying an attachment is a requirement for taking the damage. i am pretty sure that you take the damage and the attachment effect has not target and fizzles.
