How does commander damage work if nekusar is the commander cause someone from my game group said that the only way he can deal commander damage is if he attacks but im not sure about that? Please shed some light on this thanks ^-^

Commander damage can only be dealt in the form of combat damage. Damage from Nekusar's triggered ability does not count.

Commander damage is only dealt from combat damage. Otherwise Generals like Niv Mizzet or Kaervek would be way too easy to win with.

Yep, only combat damage, ability damage would be insane and every deck would run heartless hidetsugu and it would be a race to see who could use him first
