Topic: Trading situation gone very bad.
I am currently in an ongoing trade that has just been horrible from the beginning. We negotiated a trade and both sent cards as normal. Soon after I got my mail sent back to my mailbox with one of those envelopes saying there was insufficient postage and the envelope was totally ripped with only 3? of the cards still in it. Naturally I was upset but couldn't really do much about it, so after searching my two LGS managed to buy the cards that were taken and mail again shortly after all this. I let him know what was going on during all of this. It was taking an abnormally long time for his cards to be delivered to me, but seeing as my end ended up taking longer I was fine with waiting. Soon after he received the cards I sent him. Fast forward a couple weeks and I still haven't received his cards and after waiting a week for him to respond (he was at Gencon) he says that he has a tracking number and it shows delivered. I took it upon myself to go to the P.O. and see what they have to say, I asked all my neighbors if they have seen anything, and still have not seen a single card that he shipped. So right now I am out about $45 and nothing to show for it and he won't do any sort of restitution even though per the rules it says it is the senders responsibility. I understand delivery confirmation should be working in his favor, but it still does not change the fact that I have not received a single card.
What should be the proper way of handing this?
Edit: I forgot to mention that I live at an apartment and our mailboxes are a large box with a bunch of little boxes for each apartment requiring a key.
