Isochron scepter ruling

I want to know if you can imprint a split card on Isochron Scepter a couple different ways. One, Wear//Tear both sides are 2 or less and I want to know if you can imprint it, if you can play both sides or only one, or if you just cant imprint it. The converted mana cost thing confuses me with split cards.
