activation email failure

Greetings, I created a new account yesterday and have been unsuccessful in receiving an activation email. I have tried resending, checked spam, and even waited overnight. I am able to access the forums but not the trade features. Does browser matter, I am using firefox? I also tried to use a different username with my email but could not because the site recognized my email was already in use. Thanks for any suggestions.
