Topic: (Modern) Ashen Rider

Been working on this deck for about a month or so, and I am coming to an almost completed decklist. I needs a bit of fine tuning, along with a sideboard.
Here is the current list:

I feel as though it has all that I can figure out for cards, but if there are cards you think would benefit it over ones I have chosen, then go on ahead and tell me!

Re: (Modern) Ashen Rider

cool

Re: (Modern) Ashen Rider

Competitive or kitchen table?
61 cards?:P
I'd go 3x Dig and 4x Path.
You have some tough casting costs so fetches would help a lot.
This is very "all-in" on using and reusing Ashen Rider's triggered ability. Maybe add an alt-win con or two.
You will need to add permission or this will fold to most combo decks.

Just my 2 cents cool

I was looking at competitive, but I do not know how well it will work. I was adding the cards off the top of my head, and I couldn't find the total in the new format. But I fixed it to be 60 as it currently is.
I wouldn't mind having another Path, and Dig I think may work better as a 2 of main.
I would assume that I would maybe want to run 8 fetches..? But then I am not sure how many shocks to run along with it.
Do you have any idea's for alt-win cons?
And I am not really sure what you mean by permission?

Re: (Modern) Ashen Rider

Far too slow for competitive unless you turn it into a control deck. See the popular control decks in Modern for ideas  including permission (counterspells). Also take a look at Gifts decks.

Re: (Modern) Ashen Rider

Theres some real potential for some of these cards in a gifts style deck.

I'd also run treasure cruise...because its so freakin good.
