Topic: mtg repacks ebay question

How do people feel about repacks that have a chance of having dual lands? I'm thinking of selling some but I have no idea what a fair process would be. Ideas?

Re: mtg repacks ebay question

The general feel that hold and all my friends hold is that repacks are all scams and the seller is a scammer. Not trying to insult your character, but that is how we feel. We believe that none of those have anything worth of value.

No insult taken, it's an honest answer. What would it take for you to think it was a reasonable idea?

Re: mtg repacks ebay question

The problem with repacks is inherently that you're trusting some anonymous person on the internet to be telling the truth when you have no way of ever knowing if that person was telling the truth. Like if I bought 10 repacks and never pulled anything good, did I just have bad luck or was the seller a scanner? There's no way to know. I'm not sure how you get around that issue. Maybe by starting with stupid high EV to show people you're legit?

Re: mtg repacks ebay question

There are no legitimate repacks. Plain and Simple.

What some shops do, which is legitimate, is cracking and entire box, pulling out the high end rares and mythics, and replaces them with bulk rares. Then they repackage the box as best they can and resell it as a $30 draft set with full knowledge for the customer that there is not value in the packs so that you're purchasing solely a draft experience at a discounted price.

Same.
