It would be much more useful to me if the "Deck Count" column in the inventory screen represented the numbers of all copies of a card used across "built" decks. If I have 2 "built" decks with 1 lightning bolt each I would prefer the deck count to be listed at 2, not 1. This way I know I have 2 lightning bolts committed across decks. I could compare that number against my inventory and have an accurate idea of how many extra remained in my collection.

If I only owned one lightning bolt and were willing to swap it between decks one by definition is not "built". Tracking built card usage as it currently is seems to trivialize the difference between the Idea deck setting and the Built deck setting.

New to premium, maybe I am looking at this feature incorrectly?

You can do this. Click on your name and select Edit Profile & Settings. Then on the right side there are three Premium options, one of which is "I am sharing cards between built decks." Uncheck that and you should be good.
