Topic: 2x Judge Promo Dark Confidant for trade

I would like legacy or Modern staples for them: Force of Will, Dual Lands, Gaea's Cradle,  Vendilion Clique, Tarmagoyf, etc.

Any trade request will be considered, I just do not want to trade these guys down to far if at all.  Thanks for looking!

Hey, I don't have anything to trade, but these are from your Pack to Power, correct?

If yes, can you just answer me this question: Do you have any advice for someone looking to do a P2P?

Re: 2x Judge Promo Dark Confidant for trade

Yes, these are from my pack to power.  The best advise I can give you is
1. know the formats and where they are going
2. be willing to down-trade (lose value) in some deals
3. keep your stalk rotating
4. don't be afraid to speculate
5. have good friends
6. everything has some one who wants it.

To elaborate on a couple:

2.  I down-traded some good standard cards (2 snaps and a Geist of St. Traft to be precise) for a Scrubland.  To me, even though I lost about 8 dollars, I opened my trades up to a whole new audience!  Soon after that trade, I found myself in the position to trade off that Scrub and an Arid Mesa for a Volcanic Island, which I then traded the Island and a Snap and a Fetch for 2x Promo Bob's and a promo SoFI.  In retrospect, the Scrubland trade was a great one!

4. If you know enough about Magic and the formats, you can pretty easily speculate about any hidden gems.  I traded heavily for the Zen. blue fetches when they where sitting at around $14, I always asked for trading posts and Master of the Pearl Trident's if I wanted or was offered a throw in. I snapped up Resto Angels at $6  and I will certainly grab every shockland I can find when the price settles.

5.  When I first opened my P2P pack, I had friends start me off by trading me $1 - $3 rares for an uncommon.

6.  I had some guy throw in a marshmallon (yugioh card) in a trade.  Later, I traded a guy the Marshmallon and my Golem token (which was in the starting pack) for a foil Mutilate.  Keep everything from your original pack and do NOT turn down any throw ins.

In the end, I have found that it is a great exercise in how much value you can get for your cards as well as how good you are at speculating.  I would never trade for a Bonfire of the Damned  right now... they are at there top price right now, but if I had acquired one at the prerelease for $10 I would be in hog heaven.

It also helps you to be able to trade with beginners/ people without big collections.  I am only trying to rotate stock, speculate and get a bit of value if possible.  I never turn down the chance to trade from my P2P.

Sorry for the lengthy response smile
