Topic: can i let a unit attack that would not deal any damage?

i hav a darkelf/chaos deck

can i play http://deckbox.org/whi/Fledgling%20Chaos%20Spawn with http://deckbox.org/whi/Barbed%20Whip and then attack to lower hitpoints?

Can't see why not. Units don't have to have power icons to attack.

in general, yes you can, iirc some nasty trickeration can be produced this way.
This particular combo, however, is no good.
Lil' Spawny does not = a Dark Elf unit, so not an eligible target for the whip.

that doesnt anyway exist anymore
it has come up, because i had that opportunity on hand in the "statistics mode" and thought about it

so in retrospect still nice to see how blind one can get, staring 24/7 at the cards wink

I love building up a bunch of 0/1 token creatures (and repeatedly attacking with them) which puts counters on Beastmaster Ascension.  All of a sudden those 0/1's become 5/6's.
