Re: Rise of the Eldrazi

Blue wishes for card advantage like this. Pretty strong, considering Harmonize was a Sorcery of the same cost and didn't gain you life.

So card draw is back for green! YES! Instant version of Greater Good, with no discard and life gain. Just bonkers... I love it!

Happy Easter everybody!

Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy big_smile:D:D

Re: Rise of the Eldrazi

Re: Rise of the Eldrazi

Probably vampire fans will love this awesome card:

Very nice card for monoB.

Another card that makes me shiver is:

What a nice card for mill lovers as me cool Very, very nice even if is kinda expensive to play, especially in a mill deck  .

Re: Rise of the Eldrazi

Green is really getting nice things this set...

This feels to me like a good card... although the color wheel issues again... this does not feel like green to me, plus haste on green is not nice smile

Re: Rise of the Eldrazi

That card is bonkers. And also the Goblin... wow.

Its ok, green, red and black always had haste, and white, green and black always had graveyard recursion for creatures... just in different amounts and at different rarities.

But really... the card feels like the new bloodbraid... or a fat bloodghast. First mythic I actually want to open in a booster tongue.

... and give to Laura, of course

Re: Rise of the Eldrazi

Vengevine makes me think about dissing the black splash in my deck for green. And that makes me die a little bit inside... I'm just a sucker for cheap haste creatures that just don't die.

Re: Rise of the Eldrazi

The ultimate fun card. Whoever gets that ability played will have some brag material tongue

Now we have to be wary of anyone who carries many eldrazis with him outside of his deck... he might plan of using this dude to bring them all in tongue

I believe this is a very bad candidate for EDH general ?

Re: Rise of the Eldrazi

RoE is said to be many things (timmy set, really bad  cards for standard etc etc) but one thing it definitely is: flavorful smile. Today's preview article from wizards is really a symbol of that. It previews a new rare eldrazi, with a nicely written story that goes with the card. I like, I like...

Re: Rise of the Eldrazi

Yeah, clearly visible that the lead designer is the same as the one from kamigawa: That which was taken . What can I say, cool effect, sucky card.

Re: Rise of the Eldrazi

New comic is up: http://www.wizards.com/magic/multiverse … ature2/86a

Much better than the last one... which doesn't say much, considering how the last 2 comics sucked. But nevermind that, this one is pretty much ok. (up until near the end where I did not quite understand what Sarkhan was saying in the last 2 pages; If anyone cares to venture an opinion on what that was all about, it will be much appreciated big_smile)

Re: Rise of the Eldrazi

And the last part of the comic, much better IMHO than the other ones. Sarkhan meets his master, he's got some explaining to do smile : http://www.wizards.com/magic/multiverse … ature2/87a.

When I first read it I didn't know what to make of that last panel, until I realized the depicted floating person is actually Tezzeret. We know that in the Test of metal novel to be realeased in the fall Tezzeret makes a comeback, being resurrected by Bolas. Not sure what that means for Sarkhan though... smile

Enjoy.
