I find that searching for local trade opportunities is not very helpful at all. I live in a relatively small city that has many other small cities in very close proximity, but I can only search within my city. I can edit my profile and set my location to another city, but that is very tedious especially since there are easily 20-30 cities within an hour drive I would be willing to do local trades in.

I think the best option would be to have users set their zip code in their profile and then when searching you would be able to select a desired radius in miles/km to search from your zip.

Another option that may be easier to implement would be to have a multi-select dropdown list of all the available cities in the search page instead of just the user's current city.

Great idea. I also live in a metro area with at least 20 "cities" within easy driving distance. It would be much easier to search out local trades if I could just say "within 20 miles".

I would like to add support for this idea.
