Topic: Proliferate or Defenders? Input needed :)

I'm trying to build a deck around my 2 Karns. My plan is for mana acceleration and control (maybe?).
My Thoughts:
1)Use "Overgrown Battlement" and build the deck with mostly defenders, or
2)Use proliferate, for "Shrine"s and "Surge Node".

I don't necessarily have to have both mana acceleration and control together. I guess I just want to know the fastest way to play Karn.

What I would like to know is what ya'll think is faster for mana acceleration? Any card ideas?

you could try to play karn liberated in a mono green ramp deck.

It should be fast enough to have a chance vs aggro decks.
