I'm fairly new to modern and pretty intimidated by the card pool. I was wondering if anyone had recommendations for this deck and maybe a side board. The current sideboard is pretty much cards I'm unsure of putting in the deck. I've played a couple local modern tournaments with an 8 rack deck, it looks like the meta game is birthing pod heavy and pretty powerful.

Not that my experiences have been all that great with a modern infect deck but I would make the following changes:

Run 4 of the following:

Glistener Elf
Ichorclaw Myr
Mutagenic Growth
Vines of Vastwood
Might of Old Krosa

I'd trade 4 of Yavimaya Coast for Temple of Mystery: You take the hit, but you don't have to wait a turn when it comes in. Could be useful if trying to win fast.

I'd trade 4 of Giant Growth for the Thrummingbirds. I don't see how they help you and Giant Growth is a great 1 mana growth of 3/3 for the turn.

I'd dump Blight Mamba, and Corrupted Resolve (Maybe good for the sideboard).

I'd also look at adding 2 Pendelhavens instead of 2 Forest.

If your local meta is Pod heavy, run 3-4 Pack Rats in your 8-rack sideboard. If you lose game game 1 just side in some rats and win game 2 and 3. Try it.
