Topic: database import

Anyway I can make a deckbox.org card database by importing an Excel or CSV file? I'd rather not start over from scratch just to have it in another format.

Not directly, but there is an Import Multiple Cards At Once option available under the Add Cards option.  The format is plain text along these lines:

4 Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker
4 Black Lotus
4 Baneslayer Angel
Kerry Harrison (281-846-5610)
Former Organizer, Houston Casual Magic & More

Re: database import

I don't think it really saved any time since it seems I'll still have to manually input quite a bit information for foils, promos, & expansions.

Re: database import

Would be nice to offer an API so we can show off our collection on our own websites or Facebook

You might want to mention that over the main forum's suggestions section.

Re: database import

I am a php developer and I wouldn't mind helping out. I have already offered the help in the main posts.

BTW. Just getting back into the game. I have legacy rares. Some are decent and most are junk. Looking to trade up to Standard.

I am accepting freebies as well. Commons and uncommons are fine.

Would appreciate the help.

Thanks! See you all next month, maybe smile
