You can have a pirate deck with dinosaurs, and vice versa. However, this deck is aimed to be a deck of dinosaurs...who ARE pirates.

The Vorthal in me says that some poor druid placed an Arcane Adaptation necklace on a dinosaur in hopes of freeing them from the control of the Sun Empire. However, what are dinosaurs but primeval dragons? Of course they want treasure!

I haven't found a way to work Explore in just yet, but the dinosaurs are also hunting for treasure. There's rumored to be a map out there, so they are sailing the coasts of Ixalan looking for it!
