Felt bad running a 61 card deck but got [[Samut, the Tested]] on the morning of the Standard Showdown and decided to play it. Went 3-1 and finished in 1st place, felt quite lucky though, was only occasionally mana screwed unlike my usual.

    Notes:
Didn't use [[Gishath, the Sun's Avatar]] even once. Cut. [[Ixalan's Binding]] was a rock star, as was [[Samut, the Tested]]. [[Blossoming Defense]], even just the 2-of here, was magnificent also and there is a strong argument for adding a 3rd one alongside a 3rd [[Carnage Tyrant]] as our top end. I'd like to move an [[Ixalan's Binding]] to the main deck and fill the playset out, as it was just that good at locking out win conditions (Gods, expensive enchantments or even just corner stone cards like [[ Longtusk Cub]] if they're getting too big).

    Issues:
Lands felt light but average CMC of the deck is 1.6 (counting Stomp as a 1 cmc card) so 21 would be right. Had a horrible game where drew nothing but spells and both [[Rhonas the Indomitable]]s which felt awful but likely just varience.

    Sideboard thoughts:
Cut the Gishaths painful though it will be. Getting to 8 mana is rare, whereas being stuck with an 8 mana card in hand is all too common.
Swap out [[Abrade]] and [[Savage Stomp]] against creature light decks for Bindings and Swordtooths. Against boardwipe style control consider cutting [[Otepec Huntmaster]] as they just get swept, though the ability to charge Dinos is rather nice against Sorcery speed removal, so don't be too quick to cut. Against [[The Scarab God]] and [[Hazoret the Fervent]] bring in [[Ixalan's Binding]] instead of [[Ripjaw Raptor]] and obviously against tokens bring in [[Raging Swordtooth]] for the blowout.
