Notes
https://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/gyomes-deli/
We want to make more food and gain value from these tokens.
Academy Manufactor - Low CMC and provides a lot of value, he is my favorite new card of Modern Horizons 2
Blossoming Bogbeast - Does not directly interact with food tokens, but makes creatures stronger for the amount of life gained. Since food heals, this can go crazy quickly.
Clock of Omens - It's main purpose is for Witch's Oven , but it can work well with other artifacts like Bolas's Citadel , Idol of Oblivion , Sol Ring , Strionic Resonator , The Great Henge , Trading Post
card:Doubling Seasons - A token doubler
Fangren Marauder - Each food gives an extra 5 life, also works on board wipes so our food tokens are not all wasted.
Inspiring Statuary - Let's food token be used to cast nonartifact spells.
Marionette Master - This is a way to finish off opponents with food. My understanding of the flavor of this card is that she starts a food fight.
Nim Devourer - This creature gets stronger for each artifact. Not really the main purpose of the card and why it's in the deck, but it can work sometimes.
Trudge Garden - Good way to passively fill the board with 4/4 trample, they interact well with Witch's Oven
Trail of Crumbs - Creates a food token on ETB and paying 1 mana gives us an extra draw most of the time.
Parallel Lives - A token doubler
Sproutback Trudge - Eating more food makes him cheaper to cast.
Strionic Resonator - Doubles a lot of triggered abilities, can double food tokens with the commander.
Witch of the Moors - Really easy to gain life once per turn, especially when using her with the commander on the field. Cracking a food token heals us, reviving a creature at end step and since a creature ETBs Gyome, Master Chef creates a new food token.
We want to revive creatures. We can't revive creatures if they don't die so sacrificing is a big part of this deck.
Claws of Gix - Can sacrifice any permanent for only 1 mana and gains life. One of the good things it can do later in a game is if Golgari Rot Farm is already on the field and we are not getting land drops for landfall effects, we can sac the land to get it back in hand with other cards like Noxious Revival .
Gluttonous Troll - Can sacrifice any nonland permanent for 2 mana. Can sometime finish off opponents thanks to trample.
God-Eternal Bontu - On ETB, sacrifices permanents to draw cards. This creature is pretty easy t use it's ETB multiple times.
High Market - Can sac a creature and gain life. Since it's a land, it evades a lot of board wipes.
Phyrexian Tower - Same usage as High Market . Switches life gain for mana.
Ravenous Squirrel - 3 mana to sac an artifact or creature, which costs quite a lot in mana. But sacrifices buff this card, heals and draws.
Savvy Hunter - Can sac 2 foods for card draw.
Silversmote Ghoul - Can sac itself for 2 mana and draws a card.
Trading Post - Can sac a creature to revive an artifact card. Can also sac an artifact for card draw.
Witch's Oven - Can sac any creature for food. Makes more food when the creature's toughness is 4 or greater.
In I don't have a clue, flickering is the way to repeat ETBs. In this deck, since we lose blue for black, reviving is the most efficient way to repeat ETBs
Bloodghast - Revives himself on landfall. Golgari Rot Farm makes sure we can always landfall.
Cauldron Familiar - Sacrificing food is how to revive this card. Really easy to do and this card is a finisher.
Eternal Witness - Can revive anything, so non-creature revival spells can also be revived.
Feasting Troll King - Sacrificing 3 food tokens revives it.
Journey to Eternity - Revives a creature once before it transforms into Atzal, Cave of Eternity . Afterwards it can revive a creature once per turn.
Murderous Rider - This creature is a targeted removal that goes back to library when it dies.
Nether Traitor - When any of the many creatures that can revive do come back on the battlefield, this guy joins too.
Nim Devourer - Works well with other cards that revive themselves in order to pay the revive cost.
Noxious Revival - Just like Eternal Witness , can revive anything. Not as easily re-usable as Eternal Witness , but can be used at instant speed.
Phyrexian Reclamation - Can revive a lot and the life cost isn't too important when we make food.
Reassembling Skeleton - One of the cheapest cost for a creature that revives itself.
Silversmote Ghoul - Revives everytime a food token has been cracked. When the commander is on the field, a food creature is made again for this card's ETB.
Sproutback Trudge - Gaining life is easy, so this creature is easy to get back on the field.
Trading Post - Useful to revive value artifacts that have been destroyed, but can also revive artifact creatures for the commander's effect.
Veinwitch Coven - Really easy to gain life and paying only 1 mana to revive any creature is crazy good.
Witch of the Moors - Can revive once each turn since healing is super easy. Very similar to Veinwitch Coven , but is targeted more often because of the sacrifice effect.
Witch's Cottage - Can revive a creature once.
After making so much food and making sure we can make food with our value engines, we need to start eating and heal.
Aetherflux Reservoir - Can heal a lot. Works well with the Bolas's Citadel , Sensei's Divining Top combo. Can also be used as a finisher.
Alhammarret's Archive - Doubles the healing and card draw.
Blossoming Bogbeast - Heals for 2 per attack.
Claws of Gix - Heals for 1 per sac.
Essence Pulse - Heals for 2 and wipes for the healing from the turn.
Fangren Marauder - Heals on every food token crack.
High Market - Heals for 1 per sac.
Noxious Gearhulk - Heals on ETB for the toughness of the creature destroyed.
Ravenous Squirrel - Heals for 1 per sac.
Sapseep Forest - Can be tapped to heal for 1.
The Great Henge - Heals for 2 when tapped for mana.
Trading Post - Cand discard a card to heal for 4. Not really used for this ability in this deck.
Witch's Clinic - Can give lifelink to our commander or someone else's commander, which can be used politically.
