Win Condition 2: Godo + Helm

This one is a no-brainer for anyone who's gone up against Godo, Bandit Warlord. Because we're running white, we have a multitude of ways to cheat Helm of the Host onto Godo. For the sake of posterity: At the beginning of combat, if Godo is already equipped with Helm, he will create a token copy of himself that, crucially, dodges the legend rule and, more crucially, has haste. This produces infinite combats and infinite Godos for a win. Godo players will typically prioritize having a Hammer of Nazahn on Godo to ensure the original has indestructible in case any shenanigans ensue.

The awkward thing is that Ardenn's trigger occurs the same time Helm checks its triggered ability, so Helm's trigger will fizzle--for the first round of combat, that is. If you manage to slide a Swiftfoot Boots onto Godo, that gives Helm a second chance to trigger the infinite Godos on the next combat step. Of course, if you have Sigarda's Aid, Hammer of Nazahn, or a Puresteel Paladin with Metalcraft online, then it'll work out fine all the same once Helm hits the battlefield.

Even without the Helm (if it's in your yard for some reason), Godo by himself provides value to the overall strategy. In addition to tutor up an equipment and put it on the battlefield for free, he can yank out an extra combat step provided he has haste the turn he comes down.

But as I said before, Godo is not the key strategy to winning with this deck. If you have an opening, by all means, but otherwise, a steady stream of damage is what you should be focusing on. If the choice is between casting Godo or casting Blackblade Reforged to finish someone off, really think about your positioning and whether or not you can sustain a long time, or whether you should risk sealing the deal right then and there.
